I've been playing the shit out of the Hajime No Ippo games on PS2.

The movement in this game is some of the best I've experienced in a fighting game. It's all physics based, including the strikes where certain ones weigh more due to positioning/range and other factors. The AI is insanely good and is flexible depending how the fight is going. Feels like facing a real person. You can get KTFO in an instant if you aren't careful, really makes you feel like its a real fight.

It's a shame this system didn't stick around, by PS3 they were making more arcade style boxing games, but Victorious Boxers 2 and Victorious Road (and Victorious Road 2 on PSP) are fucking incredible. I wish someone would take this make some tweaks and slap a new coat of paint on it. Looks good emulated to 4K with widescreen patches though.

Victorious Road also has an insane super in depth single player campaign where you have to plan your diet, training, sparring, everything. I'm still trying to figure it out it's a bit difficult due to no English translation.

Nobody here talking about Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. The beta was incredible, loved the gameplay enhancements and the new Fall Guys mode is fun too. Made me preorder the Deluxe edition.

Fortunately I'm sure the mod community will resolve that shortly after release.

Looks like SF6 is shafting people for additional costumes, as expected.

No bundle and each one is 300 fighter coins ($6) but of course you can only purchase 250 coins at the lowest increment then it goes up to 610 coins, so you can't even just buy 1 costume if you want.

Good thing modding exists, but I know Capcom is trying to stamp that out already.
