Omggggggg I really have to get my tournament nerves in order haha. iDom and NitemareZen were the two obvious favs in my pool and both made it out, but I haddddddddddd Zen dead to rights lol.

I lost to his DeeJay 1-2, BUT, I was up and blew it, AND it was 1-1 Final Round, and I hit a combo, and then hit another with Level 3, so I was up with FULL HEALTH to his like 15% and got REVERSE PERFECT IN THE FINAL ROUND TO LOSE 1-2.

I haven't been disappointed in a longggggg time hahahaha wow. He even laughed after and told me he thought it was over. R.I.P.

Edit: and I seriously have to stop losing to DeeJay. I've taken 3 of my last 4 losses to Deejay. -.-

I know you're right, but I legit woke up salty this morning LOL. Like not only being so close but blowing it (a second time), but also the brackets being so lopsided. Like I had 2 legit streamers, a semi pro, and iDom in my bracket. While Jebailey who I literally 10-0'd earlier had a bunch of bums in the bracket and made it out lol. Like who put these together. Many im truly living up to my SaltShaker name with the salt levels im experiencing right now.

All good though, at least it's super fun here and learning a lot. Gotta hit the grind harder and leave no room for any of it next time that's all.

I forgot to say, some US players didn't show up either probably because of some of the issues with the locals. Then there's the lack of EU players as well. EVO should be a lot better.

Yea I legit thought it was over so I honestly got too arrogant, up 97% health to 15% health, full screen, burnout. Lots of people were watching our game and Zen's guy was recording it, so I tried to show off as a swaggy "hold this L bruh" and got L'd. Instead of just lame'ing out the win in true JP fashion I tried to get flashy and do a ghost-EX teleport mix I picked up the other day to end it, but got anti-aired on the teleport like any decent player would do, and got crossed up after which put me in the corner. Trying not to make a bad mistake but thinking "I'm up so big gotta just land something or get out corner". Got poked into combo, got grabbed on my WU, guessed wrong on incoming oki pressure mix which led to full combo Level 3 ender 55-60% damage, and just like that I was dead. I'm getting upset even typing this out LOL.

I'm mostly upset because it was dumb to not simply just end the game in a lame boring way than trying to show off for dudes watching/recording. Like why did I think it was a good idea to teleport full screen in that type of situation??? But I probably needed that to happen in hindsight to keep me in the mental grind the right way and remember more humility. Like the saying goes, "it isn't over until it's over".

True true. I dunno how long it'll last but I'll definitely ride the wave. You know how that goes too, the random element sometimes you can get multiple favorable elements and sometimes bad MUs back to back. How is the tourney scene out there? Do they have any big majors or is it more like locals spread out?

I basically completely dipped out before usf4 came out was hoping sf5 was gonna be good but I didn't like it and dropped it straight away lol. came back to sf5 last year but more casually because I tried gief and he made the game playable for me, but I've been waiting for sf6 to sink my teeth in properly.

so yeah I've been completely out of loop as far as the local scene.

Same problem with Jamie. I don't think he's even as good as some other characters, I just haven't faced him enough, even in the beta. I've beaten most of the Jamies I've come across, but sometimes I've wondered if I punished him correctly or if the Jamie just didn't block/tried something else.
