fighters you liked before but you cant stand anymore

Chael is witty. Conor isn't. He resorts to vulgarity and insults when challenged verbally. "I'll put my nuts on your head." isn't witty.

I officially started not being a fan when the Irish fans where calling Aldo a baboon at the presser and he didnt even tell them to know their place. If someone came to my country id show them respect, its pitiful.

This is probably the only thread where I will admit to being a Mayhem Monkey. I stopped liking him when Bully Beatdown started airing

Always loved Vitor a long time ago....how could u not ?
Between all the juicing and clearly ducking Mousasi on several occasions, its difficult to get behind him.

Hendricks unsavory character and excuse making proved to be too much for me and complaining about Thompson not standing and banging in front of him sealed the deal.

Though I was not a fan, the alpha male guys really have started to take L's in stride in addition to being p4p the worst trash talking camp in history. Hard to feel much sympathy for them.

Chael's dumb attention seeking statements about great many things like everything he said right before 194

If Weidman mentions a certain percentile he performed at ever again he'll be on this list too.

Im the same, I've liked him since the 90's! Just indifferent now.

How about a thread where we talk about fighters who we might not have liked at first, but who grew on us and who we root for now? You know, so as not to add to the hundreds of threads filled with negativity and fighter bashing that already exist?

What to you think? No? The answer is no, isn't it?

Nick Diaz, on the weed riding his bike. I like that guy.

I'd say Jones. In the beginning he was showcasing his obvious talent but had a holier-than-thou attitude to go along with it. Not a fan of some of his actions outside the cage, but the fact that he seems to have embraced the role of the heel, has made him more interesting, and in turn has made me like him more. My only problem with him as far as fighting remains the eye pokes

These days i dislike every fighter who talks trash about Conor or bitching about Sages payment. Conor is biggest star of UFC and deserves it all, he worked like crazy for that success. Im not Sage fan but i despise everyone who crys about his payment or celebrates his loss.. Hes only 19 so stfu
My list of fighters who i cant stand anymore:

- Werdum (talks trash about Connor and pulls out of fight because of sore toe.

- Ferguson (Sage Northcutt case and challenging Conor without any Merits)

-Cerrone (was one of my favorites but all Conor trashtalk and quitting fights easily made him lose me as a fan)

-Frankie Edgar was one of my very favorite but his desperate shit about titleshots makes me sick. Holloway should get titleshot next. Also his manager is annoying as fuck

-Holly Holm became one of my favorites after Honda KO but she is so boring personality that i would like to see Miesha as a champion.

You're a joke and obvious Conor nuthugger.

Jose Aldo, Travis Browne, and worst of all of them, Eddie Alvarez

Has to be Big Rigg. Used to root for him then the whinging toom over

What's with all these :eek::eek:gy Conor fans who started watching MMA in 2014 flooding Sherdog with this BS?

Holly Holm has a boring personality?
Watch WWE

you fucking prick.

I hear people saying this a lot lately, before 2005 why did people fight in mixed martial arts then. There was no money in it, people wanted to test themselves. I've always looked at it as a spiritual endeavour.

A lot like this.

Most people in it for money will burn out quick.

I think you are romanticizing a bit. The money allows other to compete who otherwise would not be able to and is undoubtedly a reason for the evolution of the competition in so short a time.

I'd rather watch more and better fighters who are in it for the money than fewer and lesser who are in it for some spiritual journey. If you're into spiritual journeys, to each their own. For some, pottery making is quite spiritual. Martial arts don't hold a special license on spiritual journeys.

Instead of complaining about complaining, go make a new thread to talk about what you want to talk about.

Instead of complaining about me complaining about complaining ...something something.

Agreed. I think a lot of the guys who fought early on in the UFC just liked fighting and didn't have other options. Most of the guys who fight today still like fighting and the potential for making money doing it is an added incentive to choose it as a path over another option they might have, leading to more and more guys giving it a go.

Anything can be, but combat is hard coded in us. People romanticize about being the best fighters in the world. So again, why did people even bother to do MMA before it got popular?

Only the top 1-2% make any money to write home about.

Pageantry and peacocking make people the most money these days. With what the UFC pays, the average fighter makes just enough to get by. Go play pretty much any other professional sport if money is what you're after. The prize in fighting ain't that big in MMA.

Sooooo Conor is your favorite fighter and don't like people talking about him while it's okay for him to talk about everyone?
