I suppose it incentivizes the lay n pray for people capable of lay n pray. But for their opponents who are at a disadvantage in wrestling, maybe they're incentivized to finish. It's a weird dynamic, but I'm not a fan of the "win bonus." It'd be better if everybody got 50k finish bonuses and the UFC just forked out the money now that their revenue is so high and they're making money hand over fist. All out war decisions can get "fight of the night" bonuses too.

I'd do a tiered compensation package, not sure all the dynamics you could add, but KO/SUB's in the 5th round would be worth more than ones in the 2nd.

I feel like doing away with win bonus, upping the base pay, and instead doing a finish bonus would work well for everyone, ufc included

Instead of a guy on a 40 to show, 40 to win contract, have it be 60 to show, and 40 finish bonus

slight potential pay raise for the fighters, more stability, UFC has guys up 2 rounds to 0 going for a KO in the 3rd rather than just coasting to the finish line safely.
