How would that result in boring? Their incentive would be to improve their marketability and ranking, the best way of doing that is fighting in an exciting manner, even if the result might be a fun loss (think Chandler, basically what he's done since arriving in UFC)

Incentivizing winning alone results in lay and pray

I suppose it incentivizes the lay n pray for people capable of lay n pray. But for their opponents who are at a disadvantage in wrestling, maybe they're incentivized to finish. It's a weird dynamic, but I'm not a fan of the "win bonus." It'd be better if everybody got 50k finish bonuses and the UFC just forked out the money now that their revenue is so high and they're making money hand over fist. All out war decisions can get "fight of the night" bonuses too.

I'd do a tiered compensation package, not sure all the dynamics you could add, but KO/SUB's in the 5th round would be worth more than ones in the 2nd.
