Fighters that are so good at just using only one submission

Imanari is another leg lock or die guy. I am pretty sure the whole Alpha Male has great guillotines is from Faber and maybe Benevidez. Ubereem is another guy known for this guillotine but that sorta went away when it failed against Stipe.
He was good at it at LHW when he was taller than the other guys

Ken Shamrock.

Used to catch everyone with the ankle lock.

Early Marcin Held ...

IIRC (name wise) he was a super aggressive leg lock guy

Recently he's become quite the striker tho

Jeff Monson - North South Choke
Ronda Rousey - Armbar
Paul Sass - Triangle Choke
OSP - St. Preux (Flue) Choke
Alexey Oleynik - Ezekiel Choke
Rousimar Palhares - Heel Hook

Didn't one fighter get back to back Omoplata subs in MMA? Can't remember who.

Hasn't Bryce Mitchell a few twister subs in his career?

All off the top of my head.

What other ones are there?

A little write up on the fighters I posted.

Monson - 17 north souths in his career. One in the UFC. Defeated Kharitonov and Alex Emelianenko with the north south. Funnily enough, he also submitted Alexey Oleynik but with a RNC. Record: 61 - 26 - 2.

Rousey - 9 armbars in her career. Most armbar finishes in UFC/WEC/Pride/Strikeforce history. Record: 12 - 2

Sass - 9 triangles in his career. Nicknamed the Sassangle. Record: 14 - 2.

OSP - 4 Von Flues in his career, all in the UFC. Has the most by far in the UFC. Record: 26 - 17.

Alexey - 14 ezekiel chokes in his career. Only fighter to ever finish a fight by ezekiel in UFC history, but not just once, twice in the UFC. Record: 60 - 17 - 1

Palhares - 10 heel hooks in his career. Broken many limbs with such maneuver for refusing to let go, but he was/is the king at heel hooks. Record 19 - 12 - 1
Aleksei Oleinik has 47 submission wins, I wouldn’t really put him in this category. He has a wide variety of subs.

A toe hold (despite the name) isn't a small joint manipulation though.

It's essentially a foot lock.

This is Mir's toe hold on Tank:

Damn I always thought toe holds were an ankle lock but he's tacoing that foot pretty bad. Would definitely snap the small bones inside,

That dude is amazing.

Scarf, Ezekiel, triangles, RNC, armbar, heel hook, neck crank, guillotine.

Ezekiel (14) and RNC (11) seem to be the ones he had most often. With a few or more of each of the other ones.

Definitely one of my few all-time favourite fighters.

War Boa Constrictor.

The first one that came to mind for some reason for me was Vincente Luque and his brabo / anaconda chokes.

Mckenzie and guillotine
I assume you’re talking about BJJ. And I have no idea what subs she has gotten doing that. I don’t actually watch BJJ, or Sub Grappling. It’s not my thing (But I did watch Gillian choke Rose on NYE at Fury 6).

In the UFC she has 1 RNC, 2 armbars, and 1 kneebar. Zero guillotines in her 15 fight pro mma career. And just 7 subs in those 15 fights.

She’s an elite ground fighter. But she can’t get a TD to save her life most fights. She did manage to get Yan down twice (a new personal best in the UFC for Dern) in Dern’s last fight. But still lost by majority decision.

Her TD stats actually did rise from that fight though. She went from under 1/2 a TD all the way up to .61 TD per 15 minutes. So still.. in most complete 3 round fights. She will NOT get a single TD. It’s an amazing stat to me. She only has 5 TD in 10 UFC fights.

I don’t understand how or why she does not train nothing but TD 24/7. Wrestling, Judo, Sanda, Sambo.. Get off the beach lady. Those skimpy bikinis on the beach is great for the oglers.. Not so great for her mma career. Travel to different gyms, and learn how to get a damn TD.

The BJJ accolades didn’t match up with mma reality. I always just picked Dern by Sub. So I took a closer look around two years ago. In her first 5 UFC fights she had 3 subs.. ABC, Cifers, and Randa. A SD over Yoder. And a UD loss to Ribas. So with 4/5 wins with 3 Subs, and her BJJ resume I just kind of expected her to win by sub.

Not anymore.

Can't forget Jon Jones and his record-setting number of tainted-piss submissions to athletic comissions!

Where's he fighting these days? I haven't seen him fight in a long time.
