Randy Couture- god father of putting you up against the fence and fucking you up
Both DC and Cain must of taken notes from Randy
Anderson Silva was very good at defending takedowns by backing up on the fence and using it as leverage
Chuck Liddell was one of the first to "wall walk"

Pettis had some defining moments.

Good examples already in this thread.

I'll tell you who's NOT good at using the cage; JDS. That motherfucker doesn't circle off the cage, even when his life depends on it. It's like he's surprised it's even there every time he backs up against it. His footwork is so damn frustrating.

You named good ones. Cain is another really good one. Overeem is good too, with those clinches and knees against the cage. I don't think Pettis is a very good example because he only has that one jump off the cage which is admittedly awesome but he is better when he uses his range and stays off the cage.

Randy was the best. I bet $120 on Vera against him only to see this garbage live. I was honestly surprised by people arguing over that decision. What can you score a fight where fighter a.) fought a boring fight but outworked the other guy for 14:30 and fighter b.) who defended well but didn't do anything except for one highlight moment

Cain,Randy and Nick Diaz.
Jones has done it in his recent fights too.
