Fighters' real nationality

4. Valentina Shevchenko is Kyrgyz. He is neither Ukrainian, nor Russian. She should play Sonya BladeView attachment 1122054
Sonya Blade is American, why the hell would a Kyrgyz play an American and even then, why Valentina who can't even act? I know this is a troll post but still, do better.

Ethnically, she is Ukrainian. But as nationality
"Shevchenko was born in Frunze, Kirghiz SSR, Soviet Union on March 7, 1988, to a Russian-Ukrainian family of military servicemen,[17][18] but she has described herself as being Russian[note 1] in a Russian interview and her native language is Russian.[19]"

If you wanted to keep your schtick consistent though you could have said her 'real nationality' was 'Soviet'.

Fedor was born in Ukraine but known as a Russian

I'm not gonna look this up, so decent chance I show myself for the failure of the American education system that I am...

However

Pretty sure..

Mostly sure..

Uhh... I think..

I think it was USSR

<Fedor23> I could be wrong.

Arlovski too.

Geographically it maybe be Ukraine and Belarus now.
But when they were born 76 & 79 I believe... it was USSR.

He was born in what is now known as the Ukraine.

Mackenzie Dern was born and raised in Arizona, but took a trip to Brazil and forgot how to speak English. Ethnically she is half Brazilian, but nationality-wise she is an American with extremely low IQ to the point where she can’t speak her native language.

Ethnically Valentina is a Russian from Kyrgistan. Officially and by DNA. Self reported too. Which is fine anyways. And visible if you google how Kyrgistan people look and obviously you commonly know what Russian / Ukrainians look like. She is my sis. I´m not Russian but anyways. I root on her and Yan. Also strongly cause they are great kickboxers which is my favorite style and sport.

And if you check their birth certificates it will say USSR
<TrumpWrong1>
No, a birth certificate will typically list the current country where the city is located, not "USSR."
The country of birth on a birth certificate or passport reflects the modern, successor state, even if the original document was issued when the USSR existed.

<RomeroSalute> as a fellow Americn I have no choice but to respect the confidence with which you boldly declare that a document issued at the time of birth will be filled in based on border changes which have not happened yet.

Why does this matter so much to MMA fans? Couldn't care less where they're from. They either put on good fights or they don't.

The USSR was completely abolished 30 years ago they would be given new ones. It's good though that you recognized you were taking an L and tapped out to fight another day.
