Fighters at their absolute peak.

Actually he's pretty much forgotten here. But I'll always be a fan.

Always good to stay loyal when wheels fall off. Hespect.

Shogun looked like an animal against Rampage.
Ii know right? I was so shocked that Jones just beat him up. To date, one of the most shocking display of domination ever. For me at least.

Ill use one of the fellow " journeyman" we may call it.

Their were some fighters that were always talked about that all skills stayed in the gym. You had the most talked about being Mike pyle, or maybe Joe Riggs.

One i seen early on was james Mcsweeney. The praise you heard about him in the gyms, rarely showed itself on fight night, in terms of consistency, but this was him at his full peak, and one of the only time he trained with a full team at extreme coutures, and gave the perfomance of his career i think. Just shows camps that have a whole high level team and good coaches make a world of difference on how you look in the cage.

Which fight you talking about tho

It's a nice KO!

I mean he has nice physical attributes, no doubt he could've benefited from a better camp for sure.

I feel like we see late resurgence with guys like Hunto, TRTor, Lawler, Belal, Masvidal, Strickland, Poirier, etc, etc who really benefited from having access to great coaches and training program year after tear.

He had an odd up and down career. He could lose or beat anyone on any given night.

Volk from the Ortega fight to the Islam(lost but looked really good).

Islam himself is probably the best he’ll ever be from the Olivera fight to now.

Kinda like Todd Duffee. Some guys look like they got all the tools but couldn't really maximize it.

I know Todd is a meme at this point, but for one, I think he was a sherbro, and two, he looked like a next breed, but I digress.

Wish them the best in retirements.

For me, Volk against Max 3 I think stands out the most but it's really pick'em.

For example, I think GSP vs Fitch is best, but some may say Hendricks, given the competition.

Same thing about Jones vs Cormier, whereas for me I think Shogun.

So I could see the argument against Islam.

Btw, one of my better threads for that fight hehe(https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/islam-will-outstrike-volkanovski-if-not-finish-him.4276665/)

Jon Jones lost IMO to Reyes and Santos....despite what the Judges said

Jones lost to Reyes hands down. That shit on par with BJ Penn - Edgar level title fight robbery.

Against Santos, not sure. It was close or so I remember.
