You think they can stay dehydrated for two weeks straight?
UFC is never going to make more rules that can stop fights from happening if they can avoid it. Its the fighters' personal responsibility not to cut so much weight. Unfortunatley sometimes the weight class that would be better for certain fighters dont yet exist.I get how the numbers work but you’re talking about monitoring every fighter on a card everyday for the two weeks leading up to a fight, and that doesn’t seem realistic to me.
I like this idea, but it can be very hard to find a vein on a dehydrated person. I am not a medical professional, but I have had a lot of blood drawn over the last few years.
Agree to disagree. I think it would lead to a lot of shenanigans or a lot of misses, and definitely a lot of fights getting canceled last minute. That or a bunch of catch weight fights muddying the rankings up even more.No. If you fight at 220 lbs and your weight swings 10 lbs, just make sure it swings between 210 and 220 lbs.

James Vick never missed weightIn a way I'm glad there was repercussions for an extreme weight cut. I know this was a Bellator fighter but this discussion can range across all organizations. So this can be discussed in UFC forum. imo
