Fighter removed: Patchy Mix

I don't want to hear the Worldwide crowd saying "It's 5 years too late...prime Patchy would've run through the division!"

Patch and Bautista are both 31 with around the same number of fights. No excuses.

Yeah it was pretty clear after round 1 he has jack shit for the top 5. Imagine Yan or Omalley striking against him.

Negative head movement

Really really good grappler. Unfortunately, Mario was the superior striker and was lighting Patchy up early. Those body shots and head shots just from round 1 took away all Patchy's explosiveness. Patchy started to find some moments late but it was too late and Mario was able to recover each time.

Would love to see Patchy improve his striking. More feints, more angles, more footwork, more jabs, more of everything. In this fight he should have been the one backing Mario up with jabs and teeps and try to cut the cage off and trap Mario against the fence. Unfortunately, he didn't come forward and give Mario anything to respect in the 1st round. Mario was dancing in and out and all around him, tagging him with everything. Great chin, great heart, great grappler...would love to see Patchy come back in 6 months leveled up as a striker and be able to use his strikes for takedown entries. He obviously does have some striking power. Just needs to put in the work now and take the next step

Man I was so hyped to see his debut. What the fuck was that. I know Bautista is legit, but damn …

Is he always this bad? All that hype this week...fraud check! It's incredible how bad this guy's head movement was/is. The only plausible explanation is that he's got some kind of injury/broken hand/foot/knee that we don't know about yet...
He regressed imo.

Yeah I don't get why this guy was so hyped. Bautista looked great, but Mix just looked... bad. Good chin, but that's all the nice things I have to say about this one. Is he normally a human punching bag? UFC in desperate need of stars lol.

if you didn't get the hype you didn't watch him destroy Raufeon Stots, submit Sergio Pettis and beat Horiguchi. he looked like shit tonight, but you can't say he got fraud checked when he beat legitimate fighters and finished them.

Yeah, I thought he was injured. How could he not even attempt to grapple and go for a takedown/submission?? And like you said his movement was so baaad. He looked scared.
