Actually Holland might get a shot with a win over Jack. Jack is #4 MW in the world. #1 and #2 are Whittaker and Costa who both lost to Izzy, #3 is Cannonier. coming of a loss. Holland would be highest ranked, fresh contender coming of a good win. Add that he has a beef with Izzy and did a good job for UFC in 2020 and he fights for the title next

Holland is my prospect of the year. Guy also had a big KO win over Buckley who has absolutely body bagged two undefeated fighters in his next two fights post Holland. I wouldn’t mind seeing Holland and Kahmzat fight would be sick. Holland has slick black belt jits unorthodox standup and a fucking iron chin. Also he debuted against Thiago Santos he wasn’t brought in to Smesh cans for a year while claiming he’s the second coming.

I don’t even know how this is a discussion. Khamzat has faced literal nobodies. A win against Edwards is crazy impressive n the same goes for Holland, but fighter of the year has mainly went to champions. In figuiredo, you’re talking about a guy who won the belt n defended THREE times should he beat Moreno. I think he’s the clear cut number one.

As much as i am a khamzat fan and on the hype train, when we say fighter of the year, he has some very good competition.

I like Holland, but going 5-0 with a finish over Jack Hermansson probably still wouldn't be enough to compete with Deiveson going 4-0 at the absolute top or Chimaev taking out Leon Edwards. Even if Chimaev wins via DQ, I'll be impressed. New talent is not supposed to beat guys like Edwards.

If kevin wins i would choose him over khamzat because he fought better fighters, if fig wins the he is FOTY.

my criteria typically for this is that you didn't lose for the year, have a top win and fought atleast 3 times.

Khazmat has a few other unique achievements that make him a standout, 3 first round finishes, across 2 weight classes, the quickest fight turn around EVER, and if he wins against edwards, he'll have gone from "not signed" to "signed, 4-0 ufc record with a top 5 win" which is A LOT in just 1 year.
