As an organization when it comes to fighter health you have to take an abundance of caution to avoid to sued. It seems unlikely you would in hospital due to stomach virus until 2am only for the doctors advice to be you are right to go fight today.

It as like as soon as you say you can't see the doctor has to stop the fight even if you say you can see now because they can't be sure.

The night before is def not the same as in the middle of the fight. He probably didnt feel good and wanted to make sure that he was OK. Then he went to the doctor and probably got better,and got cleared.

He doesnt need to make any excuses. He fought to a tough draw after just defending his title not that long ago. Is he NOT allowed to tell what actually happened? should he refuse to answer questions? or just lie.

Dana would look like a right asshole saying dude went to the hospital,and then Figgy Smalls doesnt corroborate it when they ask him about it.

I think it's okay to leave it at that. There was no need to throw it out there that you fought sick.

Yes, I'm sure it's true... but it kinda takes away from the whole thing that you fought with a handicap. That's just me though.

Big weight-cutters get no sympathy from me. This has been my position on things for ever. If you want to have a size advantage by being the bigger or stronger guy in the division, don't use weight-cutting as a sympathy token. It's not mandatory.


I respect the effort he put in there. I respect his heart... but I absolutely do not respect a guy just cause he cuts weight.
