I find Suarez much more likable than Messi tbh.

People hated him for the handball against Ghana but I actually saw itas honorable to sacrifice yourself in order to give your team a shot of progressing.
Not his fault Ghana blew the penalty and the penalty shootout.
Im sure that’s the only reason people don’t like him

Yup it wasn't a robbery it was a trade. Suarez traded a 100% goal for an 80% goal and a suspension if the 20% worked out. Uruguay lost in the SF 3-2. It was a sacrifice to get Uruguay to its first semis in 40 years that Suarez and Uruguay payed dearly for. I don't understand why people hate on this. Suarez didn't "get away" with anything everything that happened was consistant with the rules.

What Maradona(who I like as a human being) did to England was way worse. He punched a ball in the net got a goal, and didn't get carded. Those next 2 games were legacy defining for him and they might never have happened if not for the handball.

you guys really need to stop posting in this thread lol

Colombia and Senegal missing their best players as well

If they beat a France team who missed nearly half of their best XI they would have played Morocco and potentially Croatia after that. What a revolting thought

So even Boca Juniors were getting sick of Riquelme lol, that says it all really.

Yes, it says he was a difficult guy to work with. One of those "special character" type people. Everyone's in agreement with that.

He's also unanimously cited as one of the greatest #10s of the last decades. An absolute maestro.
