Tony is horrible matchup for Khabib. His One Dimensional wrestling will NOT get him by in a 5 round fight! Ferguson can keep up his pace for 10 rounds if he wanted. Khabib wont get past the 3rd against Ferguson.

FFS, He was in Championship rounds dancing against RDA

A 5 rounder with these two is going to be ridiculously grueling and exhausting just to watch, much less live through. Real life MMA version of a Rocky fight coming up.

He's the toughest matchup for sure, but in order to beat Khabib has to execute everything as near perfect as he can in order to win. Would love to see the two fighters at 155 compete, but it should not be for an "interim" belt.

Still treating Khabib like he's just a wrestler? Some things never change.

Tony has the best chance to do it imo. He needs to avoid closing that gap and thowing anything that opens up for a body lock. When he does go down the make or break will be whether or not he can keep Khabib in guard.

Ehhh if Kevin Lee can mount and pound Ferguson I'd hate to think what Khabib would do...
Best fighter in the division but still not good enough to deal with Khabibs wrestling for 5 rounds imo.

How's his slam city defense?

i believe tony will submit him from bottom position
Khabib has been submission grappling since he was 5 years old.
Tony has been submission grappling since he was 23 years old.

I don't think so Tim.

Ferguson's jab and boxing are garbage. Anyone who understands box will tell you that. The amount he gets rocked and countered and floored and hurt by strikes should be enough to conclude that Fergs striking is sloppy and terrible. The only time his striking looks good is when his opponents are tired from nearly knocking him out.

Secondly Ferg isnt out wrestling Khabib. Not in the clinch and not to the dominant position on the ground. All Tony has to offer is his BJJ off his back which Khabib will smash and pass through just like Kevin Lee did who had Tony mounted in round 1 dropping elbows on him. Khabib is way slicker than Lee and will pass Tony's rubber guard like butter and batter him for as long as the fight goes.

Easy win for Khabib where he makes Ferg look like a bum.

I feel Ferguson has more ways to win, but Khabib has the best odds of winning.

I'd take Tony over Khabib.

He's really crafty with the scrambles and BJJ and would lock in a submission at some point.

Everyone looks great when they're not on their back eating repeated fists and elbows because when that happens, all their plans fly out of the window!

Castillo humped him for 3 rounds and got robbed. He isnt half the wrestler Khabib is.

Tony is a tougher match up than Conor because he doesn't possess a glaring weakness in both ground work and cardio that Khabibi will get to work on. He is without doubt the biggest threat to the Dagestani.

That being said, he ain't no"nightmare match up". Khabib is a nightmare match up for the LW division.

This. Kevin Lee was in position to finish that fight. Fergusen is either too complacent with being on his back or his takedownn defense isn't that great. He also doesn't have the "death touch" so he is going to have to sustain offense on the feet in order to keep Khabib off of him. He may be able to do it for a while, but as we just saw in the Barboza fight, it only takes one take down and Khabib is going to scramble your brains from the top.

Tony will be a better striker at the start of this, but if he get's ground and pounded for 2.5 + minutes in the first, even that will start to even out.

He's a tougher match up for Khabib than Conor, but still i favor Khabib
