Feminist New Yorker writer, writes article bodyshaming Ben Affleck and it backfires on her

The problem with these articles and statements is that what women want isn't equality. They want to have what men had.
They want to rule, be dominant, say all the sexist shit they want without being shamed or guilted.
You see this stuff on tv all the time, a woman gives a speech and says something like "and that's why women should rule the world"...and it's like...if you really want equality...how would an audience full of women feel if a man said that men should rule the world, and that was solely based on gender?

I don't think the idea of equality is as simple as it is made out to be. There are some things that are clearly black and white--a woman and a man should get the same pay if they're doing the same job.
But then there are other things that are more grey...we do things in different ways sometimes because men and women are different. Acknowledging and accepting those differences isn't an admittance of inferiority or superiority.
Women have definitely been shitted on in history, but it hasn't been all bad either. There is definitely a "woman's privilege" that is rarely ever talked about.
