Who passed the laws? Puritans did.

It's not that simple. They were far from swingers or some sort of public exhibitionists. They weren't banging in public in front of others. They just restricted it to the bedroom instead of having sex in the barn or by the river when they are "alone". The definition of privacy was different back then. People were having sex with their children close by or within earshot of the neighbors. It's an necessity if you are poor.

Lately, i've seen what it looks like another fashion trend (is there a name?) where young women wear large sized shirt that stretches to below their waist and you can't tell whether if they're wearing pants or not.
