This is Bunker Boy's America. People werent kidding when they said this was Nazi level treatment

Biden needs to abolish ICE next year

“When I met all these women who had had surgeries, I thought this was like an experimental concentration camp. It was like they’re experimenting with our bodies,” the detainee said.

According to Wooten, ICDC consistently used a particular gynecologist – outside the facility – who almost always opted to remove all or part of the uterus of his female detainee patients.
Upon meeting several women in detention who had received hysterectomies, one unnamed detainee in the complaint likened the experience to an “experimental concentration camp.” Wooten also questioned the doctor, who works outside the facility. “Everybody he sees has a hysterectomy—just about everybody,” Wooten said. “Everybody’s uterus cannot be that bad,” she added, after referring to him as the “uterus collector.”

Wow, it took zero posts for one of our resident dipshits to deflect from what appears to be a gross violation of human rights. That has to be a record.

And yeah, ICE needs to be done away with after DHS gets the axe.

Seems like a pretty thin allegation at present. “Not everyone’s procedure can be x”. Let’s get some meat on the bone here or this just becomes more noise.

I'm gonna take a wild guess here and assume the American evangelical "pro-life" crowd is largely fine with Dr. Uterus Collector here sterilizing the undesirables in our concentration camps.

Good reason to be skeptical of this story, so I'd like to see more information. It would be absolutely horrible if it is as this "allegation" states, but ICE also has been getting demonized left and right. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was made up.

that article is about Covid.

the hysterectomy shit sounds weird but would need something to back that sort of claim up.

This is an extended series of health related complaints against the same detention center named in the OP. It's not directly related to the issue of hysterectomies, but it would go a long way toward establishing their neglect of migrant healthcare. These (in the Intercept article) aren't exactly small allegations.

It's called verifying the legitimacy of information before going up in arms about something that may be proven false afterwards. It's pretty amazing that you can't conceptually tell the difference between scepticism of information accuracy vs. lack of empathy. Sounds like you blindly believe this story because it happens to fit your preexisting beliefs about the world e.g. "ICE is evil" or some such, so you're not interested in verifying the claims because in the twisted world that exists in your head it's "so obvious" that it must be true.

Lack of evidence =/= deflection. The deflection is stupid, if it’s true, it’s disgusting. But given the gravity of what is being alleged it’s needs more than assumption (he did so many) before we conclude it’s true.

The Intercept article appears to be a bit more in depth. This doesn't seem like an isolated complaint against the facility operator, anyway.

Thanks I read most of that but did not see anything on hysterectomies unless I missed it. The covid stuff is very believable imo.

He was critiquing the DEFLECTION

I agree the female castration aspect needs more evidence to be accepted as truth.

It's a formal whistleblower complaint. It's not just johnny from Massachusetts reporting on some shit going on in Nevada. I'm giving them credence because they're furnished as firsthand information.
