The New York State Athletic Commission has adopted a rule that would deem any fighter's loss of bodily fluid during a bout a TKO victory for their opponent, Newsday's Mark La Monica reported Thursday.

The change comes at the Association of Boxing Commissions' behest shortly before Madison Square Garden hosts UFC 217 on Saturday, and applies in the event a fighter urinates, defecates, or vomits in combat.

While not the most common of occurrences, the Octagon has seen a handful of fighters soil themselves over the years. Strawweight Justine Kish was the last UFC fighter to suffer such an accident in the cage during her lopsided loss to Felice Herrig at UFC Fight Night 112 this past June.
