Twice got a dominant position where he could finish fight if only rounds last longer, then got caught and finished himself by a flukey shot.
He was fighting a better fight and was winning until he lost.
Rooting for Derrick, but feel bad for the Polish guy.
Also shows how great Stipe is to avoid big shots from Ngannou for 5 rounds .

Nah, he deserves to get KTFO for that wrassling BS.

I don’t feel bad at all. He had multiple fight ending positions and didn’t make hardly enough effort to posture up with ground and pound. Or flatten out Lewis when he had his back.

I think they split the first two rounds and Lewis was winning the 3rd until the TKO.

He had that fight sealed up, but Black Beast can knock a mo-fo into NDE-Ville at ANY stage.

Always protect yourself, like the ref says.

that shot wasn't flukey at all.

Derrick was connecting against him in rounds 1 & 2- he was clearly the more effective brawler.

Derrick Lewis is also known for KOing opponents after getting controlled on the ground.

He did it against Gonzaga.

Flukey shot? Lewis was picking his openings after transitions the whole fight and landed a tight combo on him to finish. Nothing Flukey about that.

As many people said it was TIbura's fault for not capitalizing on his many dominant positions.

If all fights started with both fighters completely gassed, I think Derrick Lewis would be a top 3 HW. He kinda sucks when he is fresh but man gassed Lewis is a monster.

He fought like a po.. nevermind. He fought stupid. Lewis would have tripped himself in that last round. Kind of ugly fight. Not that impressed with either guy.

Him getting mount the first time was a fluke. Lewis slipped or something.

How is it a "flukey shot" when Lewis landed exactly where he was throwing??? Lewis had his number on the feet the entire fight.

Haha, TS seems to be the only one on Sherdog who feels bad for someone whose gameplan was to NOT fight because he was scared of getting hit even once. Any fighter with that mentality should just get out of MMA and into a 9 to 5 office job.

It's wasn't flukey at all. If you stand with Derrick Lewis for even a few seconds, you're likely going to get knocked out.

Flukey shot? Nonsense.

This is a tried and true method of fighting for Lewis.
He lets Jesus take the wheel and he throws, not his fault your dumb face is in the way.

but really he landed big shots in the first two rounds and has had the ability to end fights when his opponents think he's too tired to do anything. Lewis isn't very refined but he knows how to turn the lights out and can find the opening on most anyone.

What does he expect? He started trading against the cage with a power puncher. Should have shot a take down. I was going for Tybura all the way, but that wasnt smart.

Honestly the loss seemed flukey to me.

I dont at all. Incredibly frustrating watching him get dominant positions and refuse to provide any offense. He did literalyl nothing. He showed absolutely no urgency or aggression whatsoever.
