It still seems a lot of bother to store the paper until the shredding truck comes by. Would be a lot easier to just collect the paper in a central location on the premises and shred it all or incinerate it.
yea no doubt that is the main reason. A lot of financial institutions, lawyer offices, etc likely have similar liability reasons.
I only hope the the benefit of having a third party do it, is that they dispose of it in an eco friendly manner. Not sure if that is just optimistic thinking or not. But it would be a huge waste if we were just to collect the paper in bins and then burn it all. It would be hundreds of thousands of pages, if not millions per year, between the employees at just at my two jobs. And that is going on across the country at every hospital, nursing home, health insurance company.
