Fedor would probably lose to Brock today

Strikeforce and post-Strikeforce Fedor would have lost to healthy Brock. I have always said that and often got shit for it. Bigfoot fight is enough proof for me. His submission game has deteriorated to nothing.

2016 Fedor vs 2016 Lesnar? Lesnar all day long. He is too big, too strong, and has enough skill to bruise Fedor up on the ground. 2006 Fedor vs 2016 Lesnar? Fedor was too fast, hit brilliantly at different angles, and had a tremendously effective transition game. It would probably look like Cain vs Lesnar.

But if they thought back in 2009 or 2010 when everyone was hyping the shit out of that potential match up...Lesnar would have destroyed him.

Who cares, he'd've beat Lesnar's ass in his prime!

Same gameplan as back then for Lesnar: wrestle to a decision. In 2016 I as a huge Fedor fan/nuthugger/defender have to confess that Lesnar's chances to execute this plan might be pretty good.

On the ground would be something like LEsnar vs Mir 1. The size difference and Lesnar's style would be too much.

Well I mean he does outweigh him by close to 80 lbs come fight time probably

There is no evidence that Fedor is washed up. Brock still flinches at punches.

He got his ass kicked by Fabio Maldinado... that's not enough evidence for you?

Brock would cower and panic to the flurry of punches from the Last Emperor. Never count Fedor out.

I'm a Lesnar fan, but if you think that was an incredible performance, you're nuts. Fedor would definitely have a fair chance of winning.

It's not that the performance was so incredible, but Fedor is so far past his best-before date. The way that Bigfoot was able to hold Fedor down and brutalize makes me think that it would that much worse with Brock. I just don't see how anyone could expect Fedor to deal with that level of strength at this stage in his career.

It would be a totally different fight. Fedor would try to swarm him with punches. I don't think Brock responds well to that type of pressure.

Fedor got beaten up badly by Maldonado, and hasn't looked himself for the better part of a decade. Of course he'd be in trouble against Brock. Not saying he couldn't win, but at this point only an idiot would have him as a favorite.

Eh, it would be a toss up in my opinion. On one hand, Fedor is a far more talented and well-rounded fighter. But at the same time, Fedor hadn't been training properly or strategically for 2-3 years. As his coaches and manager said before the Arlovski and Rogers fights -- before Fedor ever lost to Werdum -- he was only continuing to win because of "his old tricks" (exact quote). They were saying in interviews that he wasn't training properly for a while at that point. Fedor before 2006, 2007? Brock has no chance. Fedor in 2008, 2009? Eh, maybe. Fedor in 2010, 2011? Probably not. Fedor today? Not a chance. He (Fedor) is still more talented than Brock, but he doesn't fight like it -- hasn't in years. And Brock is just too big, and too much of an animal for him at this point.

Brock had a good win tonight though, so good on him. As a huge Fedor fan, I hope he retires and just serves as an ambassador for Sambo, Judo, and mixed martial arts in Eastern Europe and Russia.

Of course he would, he may very well of beat prime Fedor. Fedor is even smaller than Hunt and actually got grapplefucked by Hunt for a round or whatever, Brock would take Fedor down instantly and pound him out. Fedor is a much better grappler off his back but Brock is just too big of a heavyweight.

You say '' probably lose ''? lol, He would 100% lose, it wouldnt even be close
