I think he was so determined to stop the takedown he was hesitant to do anything at all.

Yeah obviously... Fedor has become a fucking punchline. Training in the world's SHITTEST camp with the world's SHITTEST training partners expecting to actually compete at a pro level. He basically hasn't trained in a decade. He just plays tag with his awful teammates.

Fedor was able to finish Hunt, Lesnar took a nap on him. I assume Hunt was afraid to throw too many punches because he could gas out, after having a short camp but Lesnar did not react well (still) to being punched at. If Hunt would have just gone after him he could have won. Terrible fight, along with Cormier/Silva. ufc 200 has sucked balls.

Actually, Brock is one fighter against whom Fedor would probably win. His current 'tactic' of headhunting would likely cause Brock to turn turtle - only less effectively than many other fighters. And given how he doesn't like to get hit - he would likely panic and stop effectively defending himself altogether.

So yeah, I am not impressed by Fedor these days at all, but once again, against Brock, he'd be looking at a nearly definite win.

At this point, I agree. Fedor literally has no wrestling game anymore. None. zero. I can see brock getting him down and keeping him there. In the past, I thought fedor was just too tough. Not anymore.

2016 Fedor vs 2016 Lesnar? Lesnar all day long. He is too big, too strong, and has enough skill to bruise Fedor up on the ground. 2006 Fedor vs 2016 Lesnar? Fedor was too fast, hit brilliantly at different angles, and had a tremendously effective transition game. It would probably look like Cain vs Lesnar.

I'm a Lesnar fan, but if you think that was an incredible performance, you're nuts. Fedor would definitely have a fair chance of winning.
