UFC Fighters stating who they think is the greatest mixed martial artist.

Would be interesting to see what the consensus would be if they asked fighters today.

The list on quotes of respect on him from fighters was endless

But they're just pro MMA fighters, what they know about pro MMA fighting?

I trust only opinions coming straight from couch sherdoggers, they know what's up

It's diplomatic. Shogun doesn't want to argue over who the best LHW or Brazil fighter is.

GSP doesn't want to get into an argument comparing himself to Rory. Fedor is just floating out there in Russia with Jerry Millen with no diplomatic problems if you say you like Fedor.

GSP said a month ago that he returned because he wants to be remembered as the best ever, Mir said multiple times he would have beaten him.

How about Randy Couture telling you that there is no clear GOAT and be done with this conversation once and for all?

Meh, this was before Fedor lost to Werdum

Most would say GSP hands down nowadays (short-term memory is a real thing)

Sadly, the four other legit contenders have killed their own legacies

Fedor - Failure to evolve or make adjustments and getting wrecked by complete cans
Jones - 2X PED violation
Silva - 2X PED violation
DJ - Ducking TJ

Still think prime Jones is the P4P best fighter I've ever seen with my two eyes, but people will argue that he was juiced and I don't really have an argument against that....even though most of his opponents were saucing even harder than he was

What's so funny?

Is it not true that AT LEAST 90% of fans and fighters consider GSP the GOAT after his win over Bisping?
Anyone who uses the Bisping win as their reasoning for GSP being GOAT, are stupid. I had him as the greatest of all time before that fight. I laugh because you exclude Silva because of banned substances yet still consider JBJ as GOAT. Don't even get me started on the MM response.

All of my friends thought Jones was the GOAT after KOing DC, but changed their minds after the failed drug test and GSP wrecking Bisping.

Get a poll running and I guarantee 90% of Sherdog would vote GSP as the undisputed GOAT

Your friends don't even know who Fedor is. Most people who watch MMA barely know who he is, because they only started getting into the sport in the last 2-5 years. Long after Fedor's streak ended. They never watched PRIDE or Affliction. They barely even know the 5 UFC champs he beat are.

And there have been plenty of thread polls in Sherdog, Fedor usually always ends up the winner.

Mir said multiple times he would have beaten him.

<GSPWoah>

Mir during Fedor's prime years was losing to Ian Freeman, Marcio Cruz and Brandon Vera

And winning this by DQ

Hint: he's not the one standing

Good luck at him beating prime Fedor during Pride days

Also Best/GOAT between different weight classes is stupid argument by itself

I never said JBJ was GOAT lol.

I said in his prime, he was the best fighter I've seen, but his legacy is stained after his PED violations.

Most people considered Jones the GOAT after his headkick KO of DC, but jumped off that train after he failed another test.

I am pretty sure that if you get rocked by Fujita and consistently taken down by a 200 pounds Arona you are not invincible.

Mir at 1 minute 40 seconds says it like it is, Fedor in the cage against a big skilled fighter he is in trouble.
And that pretty much happened against Bigfoot.

Gus beat prime Jones in to a pulp and there is a real credible possibility it was clean Gus vs roided Jones. Gus is probably naturally more talented than Jones.

No, it actually isnt true at all.

There's a poll on Sherdog right now, and though GSP is winning, it is nowhere near 90% of fans picking him. So you're clearly wrong, prone to ridiculous hyberbole, and will likely be thoroughly flamed in this thread.

Lol! Gastelum is an even better GOAT then. GSP is goat on paper but not The GOAT to watch. Also in the context of becoming a 2 division champ, His case is one of the weakest.

Mir said he could beat Brandon Vera too.

How'd that go?
