Fedor and GSP are 2 of the most prime examples of martial artists. More important than the physical- the mental.

These 2 represented the sport with plenty of class and they had a LOT of haters.

My conclusion is that there are a LOT of people that pretend to be mma fans. I think a lot of these guys are WWE crossover fans. Or maybe, just guys that enjoy 2 people bar brawling.

This is going to be seen less and less as MMA evolves. This is a martial arts.

I really don't get how you can claim to be a fan of MMA and hate some of the biggest stars we have in the sport. no one is asking u to go have lunch with them or send your daughter or sister on a date with Jon Jones.

you just have to enjoy him fight The thing is, he's so perfect in his field that people have to reach into his personal flaws to insult him on a page that he'll never read.

He's a young man. He's in his 20s. He's made millions of dollars. He's the undisputed baddest man in the world. You know that feeling when you go somewhere and you know there's nothing you cant do? That's Jon Jones. He'll fuck anyone over in a fight and he has money to buy whatever the fuck he wants.

That's the perfect recipe for mental disaster if the ego isn't kept in check.

Anyways, he's going to grow up eventually. He'll still be a millionaire, he'll still be the greatest LHW of all time and perhaps GOAT. And even if he doesn't worst case scenario he'll go on a big drug binge, get fat, go to jail, tattoo his face, and then still make millions from the remake of the Hangover.

He'll be fine. And if not, hope things get fine.

Bottom line, there's no one like him in the cage. But if fans found reasons to hate on Fedor (can-crusher) or GSP (blanket)... Jon Jones has no chance in hell.

TL,DR - "Hi guys, I'm an mma fan! But I fucking hate everyone in MMA except the underdogs" - Average Sherdogger.

Fedor hardly had any haters, it was only after he went 0-3 is that people started questioning his level of competition.

    Agreed, TS

Jones shouldn't want them as fans, anyways.

Let them be witnesses to their next band wagon favorite fighter getting destroyed.

    And subsequently, their butts devastated.

    Agreed.

Jones also beat a top LHW fighter while on cocaine. What LHW fighter can actually beat Cormier off cocaine, let alone on it.

This will be a legacy tale once the clouds clear of jones actually beating a LHW fighter high on cocaine.

    What the fuck?

You do realize he's fighting Anthony Johnson in a few weeks right?

I sense more quiet racism in this forum.

Is a real fan someone who is blindly loyal? Or is a real fan someone who demands integrity and standard to the sport? What is a real fan? Define it for me please. I want an entire list of characteristics and standardizations which can be used to label True Fans so it can always be known who they are.

He failed his test a month before the fight, the post-fight results haven't come back yet (as far as I know).

He probably wasn't high during the fight.

He better get some of his demons under control or he could go the way of Mike Tyson.. First act of his career had Tyson on his way GOAT status and his 2nd act was a tragic joke..

Yeah probably, but he was acting real peculiar though at the post fight presser as if he was on something. Hopefully he gets back to his normal ways.

He's 27 for fuck's sake. He's now older than both Fedor and GSP were when they were both already millionaires & considered the baddest men in the world. They never acted so goofily.

The label "baddest man on the planet" is saved for the HW Champion, who is not Jon Jones, but Cain. That's all.

That is true but he still seemed off and was screaming and carrying on after the fight.

Jones was acting real strange and may have indulged after that time.

He just beat the Strikeforce HW Grandprix Champion.

That tournament featured Fedor, Overeem, Werdum, Barnett, Bigfoot, Sergei...

    Cormier came out on top.

Jone just beat him and made it appear easy.

It's prize-fighting, not martial arts, my friend. It's entertainment.

I don't think he was on cocaine at the time of the fight (it would've shown up in the tests taken right before and after the fight), but if he was it would've helped him in the fight, not hindered him. Have you ever watched an episode of Cops where the cops are trying to restrain a man on coke? Incredible strength.

    Edit: From http://www.drugabuse.ca/cocaine:

Percieved Benefits of Misuse/Abuse of Cocaine:

    More awake, alert
    Increased performance of tasks
Feelings of increased physical strength and mental capacity
    Reduced need for sleep
    Euphoria
    reduced appetite
    elevated self-confidence

This explains a lot. Especially the "elevated self-confidence" part.
