Finally, it was announced today that Fedor will take part in the tournament Fight Nights, who live show "Match TV": time, location and opponent will be announced at a press conference on 19 April. But the puzzle here is only the name of the opponent. June 17 and M-1, Fight Nights, and intend to hold tournaments in St. Petersburg. The time and place chosen by chance: from 16 to 18 June there will be St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which usually takes part, Russian President Vladimir Putin

I predicted this when Fedor started doing Promo work for Fight Nights last year, but I'm still kind of surprised. I wonder if Rizin will co-promote this show... There was rumors of Rizin doing a show in Russia, some Russian officials were asking them to do it.

The M-1 tournament with Shlemenko is the same day. St. Petersburg is Vadim's city, he says.

Fedor fighting for Fight Pass has to be one of the funniest things I have ever heard.

Fedor vs K Erokhin, I'm calling it now

Wonder what the behind the scenes dealings with Sakakibara were like. A RIZIN show without Fedor and his team in Russia doesnt really make sense.

Fedor is expensive.
So Rizin will use him only for big event.

Last month, Fedor Emelianenko confirmed that his next fight would take place in his native Russia instead of Japan. The Russian heavyweight lived up to his word, as it was announced that the 'Last Emperor' would compete under the Fight Nights banner on June 17 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Though the date and location are not set in stone, Fight Nights has already released a press release that confirmed Fedor's participation in one of their upcoming shows. They plan to host a press conference on April 19 to announce Fedor's next opponent to the public.

The press conference will take place in Moscow, and will include a host of Russian prospects, including Vitaly Minakov, Kirill Sidelnikov, Rasul Mirzaev, Anatoly Tokov, Sergey Pavlovich, Vadim Nemkov, Valentin Moldavsky and Mikhail Mokhnatkin. Many of those fighters are currently a part of 'Team Fedor' and competed alongside the legend on the New Year's Eve show in Japan.

"I am very pleased to fight in Russia, the native land for the Russian fans," said Fedor. "I return to the ring together with the guys from my Team Fedor. I hope that we will please you with interesting fights."

Fedor's apparent cooperation with Fight Nights will likely mean that fans will have the opportunity to watch the legendary fighter live on UFC Fight Pass because of the deal with EFN.

well then, just hope its true about the April 19 reveal date

What the hell Vitaly?? Go back to bellator and beat some fools!!!

BTW Nice to see Fedor again. He is really good for the russian MMA scene even at this point of his career.

I like all those prospects he is bringing with him too. Some solid guys in his team.

Crazy if this actually happens. Fedor on Fight Pass... so near, yet so far. Seems he must have fallen out with his pal Vadim if he's appearing on a rival promotion instead of M-1.

He'll fight someone like a European version of Tony Lopez I'm sure.

Minakov spending his summer in Russia after agreeing to a new deal with Bellator doesn't really shock me that much. He'll probably fight someone tougher here then he will when he fights in Bellator.

vadim hasn't been his manner since he came out of retirement. everyone thought vadim was the last hurdle stopping him from going to the UFC. he left vadim when he came out of retirement and still no UFC contract.

Really Rizin wasn't small enough for him now he's going to some company smaller than M-1 ?
What is Fedor's team just gonna dominate a bunch of nobodys and Fedor rematch Monson ?

This card is stacked with name fighters. Fight Nights should go back to the ring.

Since this will be on UFC Fight Pass, UFC should send over Hendo or Big Foot to rematch Fedor.

None...they only had a one-fight deal. Fedor doesn't like to be locked down anywhere. Sakiraba prolly begged him to come back but Fedor thinks he'll improve Russian MMA by starring in some shoddy Regional Promotion crushing a can and having his team do the same.

Rizing is continuing as a JMMA/Pride resurrection and if they have enough funds and manage their money well they may make it work, JMMA fans are loyal and they have lots of TV deals. If they continue with the events ppl will eventual get interested in new names. Fedor hasn't made a good business choice since Pride folded so it's not surprising.

I'm numb to his choices @ this point... so much heartbreak....wouldn't be suprised if he decided to join a Tae Kwon Do Tournament in Estonia.
