GOAT
He was late to MMA. Like 28 years old. He still won most of his fights. No he doesn’t. Elite? Certainly not.
Can? Sucks? No.
Yeah—and I totally get that he doesn’t really have shit for quality wins, I’m not oblivious to that point lol. We can basically say he’s a high level judoka that was good enough to beat subpar competition (all by finish), but not beat good/elite competition. But that doesn’t make him a can. Now someone like Yuji Nagata is a can.He was late to MMA. Like 28 years old. He still won most of his fights.
Unlikely he was, "off"Yeah, I believe that was part of Hendo’s legendary 2-6 run off TRT.
Levels, indeed.

Oh he certainly didn’t decide to, he was forced to. And the results show. And I’m not trying to trash Dan btw, I’m a fan, and have him in my top 10 all time list. But facts are facts:Unlikely he was, "off"
Improbable Dan decided to become natty at 44 after years of usage and not years of being in Pride.

Why would I be mad about being right?
We can call it 10 if it makes you feel better. I wish I had never shown you the MMANews ranking for Fujita, you about had an existential crisis that day <45>
JDS is top 5 HW all time, no doubt.
Ranked wins? Fedor has more.
Title wins? Fedor has more.
Title defenses? Fedor has several more.
Fedor’s resume is superior to JDS’s, and it’s even not close honestly.
I’m not using a different standard at all, and the Fujita thing is a great example. You and I agree that we wouldn’t put Fujita top 10 in the world at the time—but MMANews did, and they’re absolutely a well known and reputable outlet. I pulled multiple sources to check JDS’s ranked wins, and all sources were in agreement. I told you if you can find a single reputable source for a given ranking, I’d honor it. How is that unfair or a different standard? I’m giving you far more leeway than you’ve shown me, my friend. The fact that you're trying to count WAMMA title wins and defenses is sad, brother.
Hunt and Randleman (at the time they fought Fedro) were technicalities. They aren't testaments of quality opposition. They're the opposite, just as Fujita is.
You're changing your approach when evaluating JDS's opponents, and that reeks of bias, friend. My next day off is Wednesday. Hopefully I'll have time to sit down and crush your dreams then. Until I am able to do so, just be a little less bias and acknowledge that JDS's first 16 fights in the UFC had more top 10 and worthy opponents than Fedro's entire career. No mad, buddy.
I understand, but come on now... give me some credit.Always wondered why Wand was never considered a ufc reject is all lol
i was just funnin...i think most doggers are well aware of his first ufc run
This all day.I’d say top 2. It’s Fedor and GSP at the top, either order is acceptable.
Lol not this shit again. He was defeated by Arona
idiot, your exact words were, "Fedor's prime was around 2003-2007"
4 years bozo...5 if including all of 03 and 07
Fedors peak lasted about 4-5 years. His overall prime last 9-10 yrs. Most fighters are only at their peak for 3-6 years and 6-8 fights, at most. Its rare you see guys maintain their peaks for much longer than that.
Stipe's peak and prime were over after the 2nd Cormier fight, for example. That gave Stipe, what, 4 or 5 years of peak performance? A 6-7 yr prime? 8 or 9 fights?

You left out Coleman, who was a very good win in 2004 and still a respectable win in 2006.I would say JDS holds elite wins over Cain, Werdum, Stipe, Carwin, and maybe Frank Mir. So, 4 or 5 tops. He has respectable wins over Hunt, Cro Cop, Rothwell and Lewis. Maybe Gonzaga.
Fedor has elite wins over Nog 2x, Cro Cop, AA, Sylvia, and Mark Hunt. Thats 6. He has reapectable wins over Herring, Rogers, Schilt, Sobral, & Randleman.
