Yeah, JDS had great TDD as well, but for all the talk of his BJJ black belt he never did much on those occasions when he was taken down. He had good footwork and boxing though for sure. I’m a big JDS fan, and would never want to disparage his career, he has a great resume. But def not better than Fedor’s.

My little back and forth with my friend Fioretti earlier is because last time we chatted, he was going on about the significance of JDS having (allegedly) more ranked wins than Fedor, in fewer fights. So I took the time to actually pull up all the rankings from the time period, and proved that wasn’t the case.

I just want to mention Ogawa for a second since it’s hilarious that he’s used as a “can” example. He was a judo world champ and Olympic silver medalist , 7-0 at the time. Not that extensive of an mma record but beat a better version of Goodridge than Fedor did.

Fedor threw him and arm barred him in less than a minute. Fedor often gets mentioned for “beating fighters at their own strength” but people always forget this as an example. It just speaks to the depth of Fedors skills. And the awesome spectacle that was PRIDE.

Fedor's prime was around 2003 - 2007. Around 2008 he was showing signs of slowing down after many wars. He didn't fight Henderson until 2011. As for Anderson Silva, if he fought Fedor in his prime, around the time he got finished by Chonan, forget it. He would be dead. Your MMA math is a joke.

Your brain doesn't work. His prime years weren't his first 4 years. By 2007, he had been fighting for 7 years. By the time he fought Hendo, it was 11 years. He was slow by then. If you can't see it, that's on you. I don't care if you train or if you play with Barbie dolls. Your arguments are lame and stupid.

This is true but the eye test doesn't lie. Simply watching Fedor and you can see he's the HW GOAT.

I always think about this: If I had to bet on guy to fight for life, who am I betting on (can do it for each weight category if you want)

I also do not think anyone that got busted for PEDs is elligible - So 1 guy to win a fight for me....Fedor in the ring. Maybe DC in the cage or, like you said, Stipe....or sea level Cain

It's a valid point. Like Fedor wanted to beat him at his own game. Ogawa was 6-0 going into the Fedor fight. All wins by finish. He was big too.
