And?? Is Derrick Lewis a can? Sure when it comes to the HW division, but look at Fedors record. From 03-09 his best wins are Nog, Crocop, Sylvia & Arlovski

If Ngannou could lose to Lewis he could lose to Fedor and many others. This shouldn't be this hard.
Nog is a top 5 HW of all time who was 19-1 at the time and was the second best HW in the world at the time. Fedor completely smashed him twice in his prime.
Cro Cop was the most feared HW in the world and much better than Lewis.
Prime AA was also better than Lewis by a wide margin.
Sylvia was the weakest of the 4 but still beat guys like prime Ricco, prime AA and Vera. The way Fedor destroyed him was impressive especially since UFC fans were saying Fedor was ducking Sylvia.
You left out Mark Hunt who was a K1GP champion who fought for a UFC title years later in his 40s.
You left out Kevin Randleman who was a D1 Wrestling champion and UFC champion who was coming off knockout win over #3 HW Cro Cop.
You left out Mark Coleman who was a Pride HWGP champion and UFC tournament champion who was coming off a win over P4P top 5 Shogun Rua.
These wins were valid. Stop hating.

Dan Henderson is a highly skilled all time great and Fedor lost to him 11 years and 35 fights into his career.
Derrick Lewis is a brawler with little skill and Nigannou lost to him at his peak.

I do think potentially you might see a similar issue as well, Ngannou's problem against Lewis was maybe in part the fallout of losing to Stipe but also I think that he potentially had big power coming back at him.
I do think latter Ngannou significantly improved his grappling after leaving French Edmond but still it wasnt really massively tested and Fedor is IMHO a very hard fighter to have 100% defence against, he doesnt just look to muscle people down with limited setup like Stipe does but rather catch them off balance.
To be fair I think of all HW's of the last 7-8 years I think peak Francis of the second Stipe fight would be the biggest threat to Fedor, his extreme power and speed means he's a big threat to anyone. Stipe honestly I think would be a lot worse than Francis in the Pride era, he depended too much on picking out weaknesses and his striking defence is highly questionable IMHO, I could see him losing to guys like Sergei, Arlovski and Aleks let alone Fedor.

I agree. Francis is obviously a problem for anyone. Even Fedor. Especially the Francis who learned how to use a jab and offensive wrestling. That guy is problem for anyone. I'd favor Fedor over the version of Francis which Stipe beat but it would be a much harder fight for Fedor against the most recent version of Francis who had developed a very comprehensive overall game. I just think it's funny when the UFC fanboys act like prime Fedor had nothing for Francis. Straight up ridiculous.

Career wise now Fedor should not be fighting anyone legit though, the Bader rematch he clearly went from "declined" to "shot", I think carrying on against high level comp becomes a serious threat to your long term health at that stage.
Retirement was the correct decision and he should stick to it.

Probably my favourite fighter of all time, but I think I'd be shocked if he makes it out of the first round at this point.
Lol, Mark Hunt was never good, exciting yes but elite in MMA? No. A great kickboxer, offcourse. But it was not a great or elite win that shouldn't be ingested in his "elite wins".
Randleman, was borderline elite but he was just another fighter in PrideFC, his best win was Cro Cop in Pride in a fight he was losing.
Fedor has 4 good wins, Nog, CroCop Arlpvski and Sylvia. That is it.
For fucks sake Mccorkle beat Hunt faster and don't struggle against HuntX

Mark Hunt had mixed results at different points of his career for different reasons but at his very best he was a damn good fighter who fought for a title in the UFC in his 40s and beat the shit out of Derrick Lewis. The same Lewis Nagnnou was too scared to bang with. That was a good win for Fedor and for anyone else.
Randleman was coming off a KO win over the most feared HW in the world: Mirko who was ranked #2- 3 at the time. Outside of beating Fedor that was probably the biggest win anyone could have at HW at the time. Randleman had great momentum. That was a very good win for Fedor, especially with the way it went down.
In any case I don't care if someone thinks Ngannou could beat Fedor. It's certainly possible given Ngannou's attributes. With that said the fanboys in this thread are acting like Fedor at his very best didn't belong in the cage with Ngannou and its ridiculous.
