John Bolton's home and office raided by federal agents
The search focused on potential classified documents agents believe Bolton may still possess, according to one source

I guess thats what happens when you turn your back on the king.

Well he’s just one of many that know and reminds the public how dangerous Trump is .

Meanwhile Michael Boltons playing this after hearing about this .

“No one is above the law!” says Kash Patel.
—Except of course, the dude he works for, whose house had to be raided for the same reason. I eagerly await the comments about how serious this is from Trump supporters who didn’t give a flying fuck about it when it was their guy doing it.

1 too many Suday talk shows. Our Baby in Chief doesn't like criticism

The has filed a lawsuit against Bolton in 2020 for publishing and leaking classified info. The Biden DOJ dropped it, probably because he was critical of Trump, thus making him above the law

So I take it the left no longer thinks classified documents is worthy of an FBI raid
If there’s sufficient evidence for it. I haven’t had a chance to review that yet.

But there was an abundance of evidence that it was necessary in Trump’s case, and his supporters didn’t GAF. Now those same people want to turn around and lecture us on how serious things like this are. Why should I want to listen to them? They’re the ones who set the standard that this is no longer a big deal, are they not?

They also found Biden to have classified documents in three separate locations, that he had been holding on to for over a decade, yet you guys didn't think it was all that serious.

So you're willing to look the other way of laws being broken because of people who did the same? That is not a healthy mindset.

We will see how this turns out, I would bet there is fire with this smoke because they're under the microscope and have 2026 to think about.

Because you would be implicitly accepting this by falling into that trap, right?

There are two positions of consistency - "It was no big deal that Trump did it, so it's no big deal if Bolton did it" and "Trump did this shit and we know how serious that was, so this is just as serious".

You're suggesting the former, but I think the right answer is always the latter.

I didn’t say that at all. I said it’s one thing to raid if there’s sufficient evidence for it—and I’ll add, if the government already tried normal means of getting classified docs back and Bolton refused, as the government did with Trump.

But I am also noting the hypocrisy of Trump supporters. They screamed “Lawfare” when it was Trump; they cheered when Aileen Cannon dismissed it and voted Trump into the White House so he’d be insulated from any appeals court decision.

I am going to bet that there won’t be a lot of substance to this because there hasn’t been much (if any) substance to all of the other things Trump is doing to target his perceived enemies, it’s pretty much been nonstop frivolous bs so far.

Having classified docs in one’s personal possession when they shouldn’t is always serious, it just didn’t violate the law on retention of classified documents. That law states that a person who

knowingly removes such documents or materials without authority and with the intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than five years, or both.”

Lots of people have had things like that in their possession (Biden, Pence, Clinton, etc) and they usually give it back, say “oh shit I didn’t realize I had that still” and that’s the end of it, because it’s difficult to prove that it was willful.

—Not so in Trump’s case. He lied about having them, moved documents so the government couldn’t find them, pressured others to hide them and commit crimes on his behalf, then admitted having them and tried to claim they were his, that he declassified them with mental telepathy, and whatever. There’s no question Trump violated the law, yet his supporters didn’t care. Now they want to play the “no one is above the law” card when they did nothing but work to ensure that Trump would be.
