FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe stepping down

Hey!! Calm the fuck down!

I was just wondering what a thread in a forum from the Watergate era would have been like if they had existed back then..

Geeees..

They would probably be shitposting like there was no tomorrow.

Could have something to do with Trump being an authoritarian who is beginning his purge of the FBI. McCabe isn't compromised in any way that we know about, and all the speculation about it is CT nonsense. Nonsense created specifically to further the Trump, Inc. narrative.

So what do you think the end game of these Trump purges are?

CNN: Mccabe steps down.
FOX: Mccabe removed.

Why do you do this Americans?

Good riddance.

Hopefully there are charges brought against him if he was involved in covering up the Clintons' scams and fiascos.

I’m curious what fantasy you’re living it?

Trump just passed tax reform, the economy is kicking ass, Isis who? And quite possibly about to improve our immigration policy (or show Dems don’t actually care about dreamers in the process).

People who have been talked about by “right wing conspiracy nuts” are “stepping down”, but somehow trump is in the room on fire?
I legit feel bad for people like this.

That was a front story leaked last week to give Wray credibility. The memo is nothing. Nunes won't let anyone see it. Nunes is a White House errand boy, and 100% compromised. He is not an impartial actor in this play.

What do you make of the $700k re: McAuliffe?

I mean, it was reported a while back, so I would understand an opinion that if it hasn't been investigated/no subpoena's yet then it may simply sail away.

The memo has nothing to do with it. That's just the angle. The entire point of Nunes' memo is to throw shade on Mueller, and the FBI. This is all a very orchestrated campaign. It's pretty obvious if you're not a Deplorabot.
Yes, but none of this is with the goal of stopping the investigation, it's all about de-legitimizing the results which at this point seem like they are going to include something relatively damning about the Trump team.

I don't know about you but I won't be able to sit through 90 minutes of the president reading lies off a teleprompter in that somber try to be smart voice he has acting as if he actually cares about anything he is speaking on

The sad part about reading your comment is that Trump is a lot smarter than you - and richer, and president.

So what do you think the end game of these Trump purges are?
An FBI he can wield politically, and the end of the Mueller investigation. Rosenstein is next. Mueller will be fired, and Hillary will be investigated again(or her investigation will be investigated).

They're already playing the, "just fighting back" angle in regards to Trump's actions pertaining to the Russia investigations. This current "stepping down" by McCabe is the perfect practice run for the next moves. It's actually quite a brilliant strategically, although I find it morally repugnant.

this post is a pyramid in your mind...and the highlighted above is the derivative thought, the base. You're welcome and you don't have to pay me. This is free.

It's possible, but I think we'll see some big moves coming down the pipe. Like pardons of Kushner, Don Jr., and others before Trump himself is even indicted. Then, a firing after the game has played out. This is all groundwork for increasingly authoritarian behaviors, practices, and institutions. IMO, obviously.

The memo is written in crayon. It’s a hack job aimed at discrediting err thang special council related.

President before country is what Nunes and the ilk believe.

Of course, this is already happening to some degree:

A handful of Republican-led congressional committees have launched inquiries into whether the FBI botched the Clinton investigation and showed bias in her favor. In December, McCabe was grilled behind closed doors by lawmakers on several of those panels for hours.

I'm not sure what to make of this quite yet but

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe stepped down Monday as the agency’s No. 2, multiple sources familiar with the matter told NBC News.

McCabe will remain on the FBI payroll until he is eligible to retire with full benefits in mid-March, the sources said.

One source familiar said McCabe was exercising his retirement eligibility and characterized McCabe’s decision as "stepping aside."

McCabe has been at the center of ongoing tensions between the White House and the FBI and has reportedly been on the receiving end of pressure to quit from President Donald Trump, whose campaign is being investigated for possible collusion with Russia.

Earlier this month, the Washington Post reported that after Trump had fired FBI Director James Comey, he met with McCabe in the Oval Office and asked him who he voted for in the 2016 election.

Trump, the officials told The Post, also vented his anger at McCabe over the several hundred thousand dollars in donations that his wife, a Democrat, received for her failed 2015 Virginia state Senate bid from a political action committee controlled by a close friend of Hillary Clinton

The corrupt DNC and top players within the FIB tried to stage a coup against a sitting president who happens to have a team of chess masters at his side. Bad idea.

I was just looking at that. Flipping between these two media organizations tells you why America is split in two...
