FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe stepping down

Threads like this make wonder what forums during Watergate would have read like...

I wonder if the back and forth with the being completely oblivious to what was going on was the norm back then to..?
Explain this post, please.

Nope he's an asshole

But assholes still have rights

And if people in the FBI & DOJ were up to no good we deserve to know just as much as we deserve to know of corruption in the Trump or Clinton campaigns

I agree but to think Mueller had something to do with this is nonsense. I guess we will have to see

Mueller isn’t going anywhere most likely. All the supposed shady stuff preceded him being appointed. McCabe, Comey, Strzok and Page might be sweating a bit though depending on if what’s in that memo got Wray to force McCabe out.
The memo has nothing to do with it. That's just the angle. The entire point of Nunes' memo is to throw shade on Mueller, and the FBI. This is all a very orchestrated campaign. It's pretty obvious if you're not a Deplorabot.

It's a forum where we are free to speculate. Why are you here? Please hit us with the facts

Watergate era + interweb forums x discussions (SD + WR) Then ÷ Now

= Same conversations ?
Do you think people in this thread don't know what's really going on? Who are you referring to?

There are certainly tons of similarities, including Republicans backing the criminal President to the very end. I actually think this is going to get crazier than Watergate at the end.

It's not about good or bad for Trump. It's about good or bad for the country. This is very bad for the country. It's the beginning of a purge, and Trump, Inc. trying to shut down the Mueller investigation, and politicize the FBI to levels not seen since Hoover.

The whole narrative has carried a silent promise that any purge will be justified. So people pushing for transparancy and disclosure of sorts will be mighty disappointed if it's an unjustified power grab.

They will feel duped.

I'm implying there are most likely solid grounds for any purging.

Seems sherdoggers are the main people screaming Mueller

It's more of a question..

I wonder what a forum would be like during Watergate..?

To sit back and see what everyday people where talking about.. was it like it is now?

Everyone took a side and just rage out like it is today..?

I'm saying there absolutely are not, and the Trump defenders will stay with him no matter what. Rosenstein is next, and then Mueller. I have no faith in congressional Republicans to do a damn thing about it, either.

Could be something to do with the FBI potentially "losing" McCabe's texts that were requested by Judicial Watch?

Or related to McCabe not recusing from the Clinton email investigation until a week before election?

www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-new-documents-show-fbi-deputy-director-mccabe-not-recuse-clinton-email-scandal-investigation-week-presidential-election/

Or the Terry McAuliffe debacke itself?

Whatever the reason it sounds lije McCabe overall hasn't protected himself from corruption and the FBI will likely benefit from a less conflicted #2.

Doubt it... I think the partisan rage really started during Obama for obvious reasons. We have had 2 very polarizing presidents back to back.

Lol. Wray was backing McCabe til he read it. The memo has documents backing it.

Could have something to do with Trump being an authoritarian who is beginning his purge of the FBI. McCabe isn't compromised in any way that we know about, and all the speculation about it is CT nonsense. Nonsense created specifically to further the Trump, Inc. narrative.

That was a front story leaked last week to give Wray credibility. The memo is nothing. Nunes won't let anyone see it. Nunes is a White House errand boy, and 100% compromised. He is not an impartial actor in this play.

The author of that tweet Tom Fitton is an idiot as well. He has been anti FBI for a while now and it started with his hatred of Obama. The guy is a partisan clown

I think Trump defenders will surprise you if you are correct. I think many people came in to back Trump out of nowhere for the sake of transparancy and the lack of it excercised by HRC with the wikileaks and all of that.

We'll see soon enough I'd wager.

Hey!! Calm the fuck down!

I was just wondering what a thread in a forum from the Watergate era would have been like if they had existed back then..

Geeees..
