favourite full mount attacks

I just started grappling but I feel more comfortable in guard than I do mount, I don't know if this is abnormal or not... I'm normally the smallest guy in class and I find that I just get overpowered when i'm in mount so I rather just pull guard and go for a triangle choke.

Arm triangle, telephone arm lock (both also set up arm bars pretty well), arm bars of course, lapel chokes, mounted triangle and even reverse arm bar (ude gatame, I think).

If you don't feel comfortable with the mount position you need to learn how to stabilize it. If you stabilize the mount you'll have the best position to submit your opponent.

When you guys pick higher belts you'll feel comfortable with it.

spin around for double kneebar!

i love mount in mma but as far as submission grappling i guess i need to work on it

i find my self lost for attacks from full mount when i am rolling. i would feel much more comfortable just switching off into side mount or scarf, and find when i'm rolling with people or watching them, they either ride out the bridges or stay low to avoid things like the knee push escape. i know in BJJ when you get mounted the fight is far from over, but full mount is such a dominant possition.

i find the attacks attemped most on me are sleeve chokes, collar chokes and fist chokes.

what are some of your favourite and/or most effectove full mount attacks?

you just need to ride the mount more to get better at it/ more comfortable. Find ways to avoid getting reversed and once you feel safe/confident in that ability then you'll like the mount more.

I do no gi so none of that collar sleeve shit for me but when im in mount I Love going for a triangle, go go plata or an arm triangle.

i love mount and prefer it to side control, i use mounted triangle, armbars, keylocks, inverted armbars, anything like that

They are actually very satisfying to pull off. (Gi chokes that is)

thanks guys, i appreacite the feedback,

when someone goes for a key lock or paintbrush on me when they have mounted me i find thier body weight is shifted over the shoulder of the arm they are attacking so they are very easy to dump.

i'm glad i'm not the only fan of side control over mount haha

Yeah, I find this too (both from defending and attacking). I sometimes try to be real conservative with my weight while going for the keylock but other times I telegraph the weight change so hat he tries to dump, at which point he opens up for the armbar more. Sort of baiting him to give me an armabr opening.

??

I never said anything about that.. I simply said i dont train gi so the grabbing of the collar/sleeve doesnt apply to me.

I like to bait. I get them in an americana and when they go to break it off i go for the armbar.

Come up on a foot, then scoot your opposite knee up under their shoulder and toward their head. Go for the collar choke, and then into armbar when he defends. Its in the Saulo DVD and it works pretty well.

My bad, I assumed you just didn't like gi chokes.

Have you ever trained in a gi? You should try it out sometimes, pulling off a rolling clock choke is SICK!

i think fluidity is my issue w/ mount. i like side control alot, but recently i've been trying to work the mount in order to develop a fuller jiu-jitsu game. i definately feel very rigid and tight in mount versus a loose, flowing, smooth mount that the higher ranks have. is this common?

I like to go for a keylock (most of the times I do this on my opponents right arm). As he reaches over with his left arm to grab his right arm to defend my keylock, I quickly try to get the arm triangle choke by putting my left arm under his head and pushing his left elbow across his face. Then secure the lock and shift bodyweight to your right.
