It's hilarious how the "conservatives" are handing out participation trophies to the half of the war room that agrees with them. And by conservatives I mean reactionaries who only post in white identity politics threads.

Well there aren't any good leftist posters. Madmick has some good posts but I believe self identifies as more right wing, who happens to hate Trump. Jack is full of shit imo. There Is maybe 1 independent that's good. Who on the left is actually good?

Some level of economic knowledge should be a prerequisite to argue on a political forum. That's not to say anything about your economic understanding, but economics is at the center of advocating for lasting public policy and a lot of the most opinionated persons are completely clueless.

Like Donald Trump, honestly. It's absolutely astounding to me that the guy could go to Wharton and still know so little about economic policy. I guess I thought there was a lot more macroeconomic competence built into business degrees.

What makes you think you know more than Trump? Because you've read books? Taken classes? Watch Krugman talk on YouTube?

It's easy to sit on the sidelines and never have your ideas put to the test. Although if his user name reflects his economic ideas, his ideas were put the test. It impoverished millions and led to the rise of terrible governments that left a 100+ million dead.

It really comes down to the fact that a lot of really damaged people post here, and they come for affirmation rather than to hash things out. In the outside world, they're mocked for their lack of social skills and entertainment habits (a lot of these guys are obsessive gamers) and are generally struggling with life. But they see the WR as a haven, and having someone interrupt with logic and facts that they would prefer not be discussed can really rile them up, even if that person is really nice to them.

Trump has more than a lifetime of hands on knowledge. Both from his own long and successful life, and from learning from his father. He's had to deal with how government really works, as he built in an extraordinarily corrupt city. Now his family partakes in international business regularly with many different ventures.

I'm not anti knowledge at all. Knowledge is power. In a very literal way. It's why some of the most powerful gods have all seeing eyes. Why the eye is on top of the pyramid. Why intelligence agencies are so powerful.
