Favorite War Room Posters

I wouldn't call property owners or investors parasites but I could see the pros in this type of system.

Here's a better description of some of his ideas, from his book Killing the Host.

http://michael-hudson.com/2015/09/killing-the-host-the-book/

He's concerned with finance, insurance, and real estate taking over, and industry shrinking. He would consider those three to be parasitic. Not property ownership in general.

I honestly can't remember you posting in here. But you can join in.

Thanks.

I don't think we're actually far apart here except on the terminology. I don't argue that it's an ideological thing. They're a business, and their business interests led them to cover Trump in a way that was highly favorable to him (for example, replacing ideological conservatives on their talking-head staff with Trump die-hards in order to maintain a two-way controversy and airing live footage of his rallies). Since the campaign, in order to maintain the standard MSM bullshit both-sides thing (again, for business purposes), they've balanced coverage of the dumpster fire administration with Republican spin. Note that the same study that shows overwhelmingly negative overall coverage shows that 80% of sources quoted are Republicans (that's general rather than specifically for CNN, but I don't see them as being distinguishable from the rest of the MSM except in being more superficial), and only 6% are Democrats. Whatever the collective ideology of the editorial staff (if there is a coherent one, which is unlikely), the practical effect of coverage decisions is a clear pro-Trump bias.

I think that's a bit of a conflation of correlation/causation that I'm sure you were wary of when it came to disparate treatment of the candidates throughout (the "pro-Clinton" narrative because she received less bad press compared to Trump). CNN and Trump are clearly symbiotic in terms of attention, but CNN certainly isn't propagating flattering Trump stories.

What makes you think you know more than Trump? Because you've read books? Taken classes? Watch Krugman talk on YouTube?

Because I've heard Trump talk on economic issues and brashly flaunt a clear lack of understanding. There was one speech during the GOP primary where he made a salient point on the money production ability of the federal reserve that I cannot quite remember in exact detail, where I thought "hey, he's not a complete moron." And then it just went farther to shit from there.

For what it's worth, this is hardly self-aggrandizing. I believe, hell I know, that the vast majority of my law school classmates understand public policy and issues of law better than Trump. And I would not say that with any previous president, even Ronald Reagan, who I had previously thought set a bar that I thought could not be ducked under when it comes to ignorance of political issues.

So? Econ is central to politics and discussed knowledgeably around here. Someone stopping him from joining in and elevating the conversation?

On that note, Rod1 is a solid poster too on issues of depth. I don't favor his in my opinion daft opinion on Latin American socialism, but certainly a better poster than most.

Meh. If that's how you want to characterize it then go ahead.

Most of us keep coming back here because the group dynamic works. For every point of view you hold someone will argue against it with varying degrees of competence. Some threads get an echo chamber feel, but overall there's always a dissenter willing to burst the bubble. There are good posters on both sides of most conversations here and sometimes people take surprising stances. As in real life, not everything follows party lines.

I don't see how. I explicitly stated that I'm not trying to identify what is anyone's heart (and anyway, there are lots of individuals with different points of view involved in making decisions that affect the lean) and am only looking at the effects of those decisions (and I cited a specific finding from a specific study to back that up in addition to noting the Trumpster swarm). And I noted that it's an attempt to appear "balanced" that is causing programming bias.

I think part of the issue may be a big disconnect between "bias" as used on message boards and "bias" as used by normal people. Someone like Pwent is "biased" in the sense that he'll defend Trump no matter what and will openly disregard all intellectual and moral standards in order to carry out that defense. For normal people, bias is unconscious or an incidental result of some other process (for example, Keith Law was just talking about how high draft picks likely benefit from bias from scouts, and that while he tries to avoid it, scouts he talks to influence his prospect evaluations).

This topic always deliver on the hilarious points.

Seriously how pathetic can your life be that you let posters on a mma sub forum trigger you so much?

I mean, you can fundamentally disagree with a person's views but still respect their decorum and knowledge. You can just view them as a troll and shrug it off -- but to actually have malice towards nameless and faceless posters, that is just sad.

Goes for anyone on either side of the spectrum

That's exactly how I look at it. It is legitimately sad. Lots of people here have serious issues.

But when IDL posts and defends Hudes' claims (that, for example, the U.S. sends all tax collections to the Vatican and funds operations with money from illegal drug sales), that's objectively false. Or when he quotes some obscure white supremacist and attributes it to Voltaire, that's an objectively false claim. You will produce no examples of me knowingly making false claims.
Lol, now that's some conspiracy theory I've never heard about.
Karen Hudes, what a nut.

The white supremacist stuff is Kelvin Alfred Strom I guess, it's sad I've seen normal people re-share that stuff. About who you can't criticize.

On topic, I like everybody, even that guy who spams the sausage on the face gif.

I don't think you got the joke. Or maybe it just wasn't funny. But to qualify for the SS you would need to have an Aryian certificate.
Baisicly you had to prove that you were of Aryan descent from 1800 or for higher ranks from 1750.

Your looks like Blue eyes blond hair etc. That didn't matter that is something that is thrown around these days.
Only what the Nazi's considered to be your bloodline mattered. So, for example, a lot of German would not cut it.
But for example, a lot of German and Dutch "Aryan" would qualify you again. That somehow got relaxed later in the war.
But the joke I was trying to make is that I and Deffid are the only pure Aryans. And therefore he is my favorite
I don't even know what he looks like and I could be a Jew typing this from Jerusalem. (even less funny when I have to explain it)

Yeah thanks, I think I saw your plan here ones. That would be too much volume I think.
I started playing soccer again after 10 years not playing. So I had limited my Gym days to 2-3 depends on how often I play.
I just keep it short and heavy these days. And just do a full body routine. Keeping the reps below 5. Works for me.
But I will let you know if I ever need one.
Didn't some indians and muslims make the cut?
