Hey, I don't know if you're turned off by ultra violence, but one of the best indie films I've seen in a long time is Blue Ruin. Very dark revenge film, and exploration of the psychology of vengeance.




And anyone who trusts me AT ALL has to watch this brilliant television series. Funny and great action, same writer/director/producer for the entire series. It's a CANNOT MISS show. This show has cracked me up, driven me to tears, and white-knuckled me.

This is probably the one for me...Along with The Cut Throats Nine, which is a nasty, brutal western that seems like it would have had an influence on The Hateful Eight, but Tarantino said he never saw it.

I remember back in the days of the video store, this movie being out of stock for like a month straight, or more. It took FOREVER for a copy to be available. When I finally saw one sitting there it felt like winning the lottery.
