Is my absolute favorite among so many Chinese and Japanese movies, the sheer level of acting, incredible feelings of stubbornness, loneliness, lust, love and ultimately loss hits me right in the feels, not to mention the intense level of photography within the film.

Have you see CHINESE ODYSSEY 2002? A lot of WKW visual in-jokes.


Yes this is a comedy.

Not to mention it's got Faye Wong and Vicki Zhao.

Good call haha, yeah I’ve seen it, it made a big splash on its release.

Also I’m a sucker for Wong Faye, big music fan of hers, I love the duet she did with Eason Chan 因为爱情, I’ve also been to one of her concerts, tickets usually sell out in 5 minutes and if I remember correctly I paid around $900 for tickets for me and my wife which is quite expensive in China, Wong Faye commands the highest solo concert price in all of China if I remember correctly, either her or Jacky Cheung

Visually stunning (I don’t usually want anime) and a great story, I was blown away and even my daughter (who was 9 the time) even the movie mainly due to the high level of art.

I enjoyed it so much that when I took my family for vacation in Tokyo I booked an air BnB 2 minutes from the train station in this movie
