What was your favorite Black Sabbath song of all time and who was Sabbath's best lead singer?

Note to mods: I would love a poll asking who the better Black Sabbath lead singer was...Ozzy Osbourne or Ronnie Dio.

Ozzy ftw. I saw them on their reunion tour in 1999, when Pantera opened for them. Talk about an amazing show.

I have only ever seen Ozzy do his solo show, but that is about to change pretty soon. Going to see 3/4ths of the original line up pretty soon.

Dio is obviously the better vocalist, but if we're strictly talking Sabbath, then I have to go with Ozzy for fronting the band during their prime. Master Of Reality, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage in particular are better than Heaven And Hell and Mob Rules.

As far as favorite song goes, I'm one of the few people who loves Never Say Die!, so "A Hard Road" is my pick. It may not be the band's best song, but it's just so damn catchy...

Never Say Die gets a lot of hate. Even Ozzy himself doesn't really care for it. I am in the same camp of people who dig it. The first time I heard it I was a little shocked at how different the sound was from their previous stuff, but it really grew on me. Now it is one of my favorite Sabbath albums.

Had to go with Dio, their Heaven and Hell album is probably my favorite out of any they made.

Although, Ozzy had a greater catalog, Dio had a better voice and HnH ranks up there with the best they ever released.

Both Ozzy and Dio were awesome, but shout out to Ian Gillan-if Born Again wasn't so horribly produced it'd be considered an all time great Sabbath album.

Dio was a better vocalist, but Ozzy is OG Sabbath

Seconded. I prefer his rainbow albums to anything else he has done, but that Album was amazing.

Both produced some of my all time favorite songs, so I'm not gonna vote.

Feel the same about AC/DC. My favorite is whichever singer I'm listening to at the time.

Ozzy by a country mile, and I think A National Acrobat might be my favorite Sabbath song of all time. Hard to pick though because they have so many great albums.

Dio's albums were both great. Ozzy's iconic, and the first six Sabbath albums are all cornerstones of any metal collection.(unless you're one of those new era extreme guys who don't consider Sabbath to be metal anymore) Tough choice, but I'm going to go with Ozzy.

Now if you're comparing their stuff outside Sabbath, I think I might have to give Dio the edge, despite Blizzard and Diary. Dio's Rainbow stuff was incomparable, and his 80s solo albums were right up there with Ozzy. Rainbow On Stage is one of my favorite live albums in any genre. The energy and power are off the charts, and the entire group is locked in.

Saw Sabbath with Ozzy play a live show tonight for the first time. Good stuff, but you can tell these guys are old and don't have the same energy anymore. lol Now is a good time to hang it up.
