Social Fat shaming. 489 pound woman is suing Lyft after one of their drivers refused to let her ride in his vehicle because of his concerns about her fitting

Ya know when I was younger I had a lot of conversations with people where they would use slippery slope logic, and it used to really piss me off. I wish I could track some of those people down and apologize, they were all right. If someone is wrong or an idea is wrong, you have to constantly fight it all the time and scream from the rooftops that it's bullshit. Because the second you stop, these cowardly little pussies start advancing and trying to destroy society again. You gotta turn the hoses on them at every turn. It sounds fucked up, but I'd rather sound fucked up than live in a fucked up world. Just LOOK at this mess.

People shitting in the streets, openly just running into stores and robbing them, people with emotional support animals and shit. Destroying the very core of concepts like gender and family. And no matter how wrong or shitty anyone is, you're never supposed to criticize anyone because everyone is in a protected group now. But then, when people try to stand up and say wtf is all of this, what are you doing to society? Oh it's fine to fuck with those people any way you want. Fine to censor them. If they're so sure they're on this moral high ground, why is it that we can't have discussions about any of this stuff anymore? As soon as you question anything you're literally Hitler.

It's fucking rough out there. As much as this forum sucks balls now, if you go anywhere else you have to be a good little boy and follow whatever bullshit the powers that be believe. Or they'll ban you so quick. It's wild, people just want to live in these echo chambers and you can't even challenge bad ideas anymore, because they're so entrenched in their dogma that as soon as you question anything you're automatically the enemy, and must be silenced.

I believe a part of the fat acceptance movement is a strategy by women to lower the level of competition. Most of the anti body shaming crowd were women and it's usually women who complain about unrealistic beauty standards. If you encourage fat behemoths to believe that they're beautiful, they won't try to better themselves. It's at the expense of society overall but at least they'll feel less insecure about being a slob.

I hear people make comments like this all the time, but it seems completely false if you look at the data. There’s 60 countries where 30%+ of the adult population is considered obese. The US isn’t even top 10.

This is wiki, not sure if it’s accurate but if it is fatties are world wide.

I think the reason you often see comments like that, which are refuted by your statistics, is because there is a category WAY beyond the definition of obese. THAT category is what is being referenced. You don’t see these people outside of the USA.
The HUGE types; you might see them cruising around on those electric carts at Walmart or sitting in front of a slot machine in Atlantic City. They’re not just obese. They’re in a special club where the smallest ones weigh around 350 lbs.

On another note, it often hits the news when people file lawsuits like this against a company, but it’s usually the last we hear of it. Are there suits like this in which fat people have won millions after suing for fat discrimination?

Being fat isn't protected under federal law. Unless you're in a state or city that have past laws making fat people a protected class, you can deny someone for being fat.

This greasy bitch even sat on Lyft stock and caused it to drop
