Fat Gripz for Grip Strength

I've been interested in these for a while. Only problem is that they aren't that cheap here. A pair of gripz costs about 50€ + posting fees so it could easily add up to about 60€.

^^I'll have to try those! Pool noodles aren't so good because the inner diameter is too small.

Pipe insulation isn't the same as fatgripz fat bar training because there's a lot of give in the insulation. Those things most replicate Grip4orce where you have to squeeze hard to keep the grips on the bar.

Pipe insulation was good enough for a former powerlifter/bodybuilder that owned the gym I went to so its good enough for me. Fuck a manufactured fAt GriPz

I bought a pair of these a few years ago and still love em and they are still holding up well. I use em for pullups and rows (both BB and DB). I read some people use em for Benchpress but it felt awkward to me.

Unlike pipe insulation these things have almost zero give to em. The material is similar to the dense rubber that Bumper plates are made of. The defintely work the hell out of your grip and forearms.

1) what kind of noticeable difference do you guys feel in grip strength after focusing on it? ie what examples

lately i've been using them for bench press and dumbell holds or shrugs for time and my wrists feel a bit stronger from the pushing i think, and hands just feel meatier in general. i've noticed more strength while using grippers as well.

the dumbell holds are really good i find. My hands are relatively small so as soon as my grip slips on them a little bit i'm pretty much doing a pinch hold, which i faind harder to maintain so doing rows or pulls my grip is slipped within a few reps. but the dead holds, i manage to hit it better for longer.

I have just used heavy lengths of pipe that are the same size as the hole in an Olympic plate and they have worked great. Cheap, can take whatever weight I put on it, etc..

By the way, the guy with the strongest grip I ever met swore by just taking heavy dumbbells for a walk as far as possible. He said to be sure to walk away from your house, so then you will be forced to walk back with them. This was a guy that closed an Ironmind #3 gripper casually for reps in front of me, I was blown away.
