Fat BJJ guys

My biggest enemy is Carl's Jr.? Never ate there. Nor Hardees. I don't eat McDonald's. I might eat bk every now and then. But my go to food is pizza. Im obese because of my poor decisions. I know that. Why you think you need to point that out, I don't know. I have done said I'm eating healthy and joined the gym. So I'm already doing what you say I need. I'm so proud of you and your 24 years off bjj. When in your age I'll have 22 years in it. Saying bjj isn't good to lose weight is a stupid comment though. Saying I don't deserve it is just as dumb.

It is comical that you think your opinion matters. You are so fat you can't fit in a Gi and have not taken one single class. But, you are an expert on BJJ and know it is going to make you lose weight. You blame the GB people for telling you the truth instead of taking responsibility for your actions. BJJ is for everyone. Your first BJJ lesson - get in enough shape to fit in a GI. Did you ever consider that they may not want someone so out of shape that might die on their mats or so huge crushing and hurting their other white belts? I am not impressed you joined a gym. Anyone with a credit card can join a gym. Your mind is fucked up. You blame others and don't know what you don't know. You will probably quit the gym and diet you have been on for an entire 3 days and find someone to blame there too.

Not everyone gets to be an astronaut means that good things in life are earned. You want to do BJJ? Earn it. Get in enough shape that you can fit in the damn uniform. Prove me wrong.

I'll bet your opinion is as well founded as your opinions on health, fitness, and martial arts.

Don't listen to anyone else. You know best. When people tell you things you don't want to hear, don't listen to them. They just hate you because you are a special snowflake that deserves what he wants when he wants it. You go girl.

BJJ is not an efficient way to lose weight.

I'm gonna have to disagree. There's been a couple guys at my gym that, without changing anything else in their lives, have lost considerable weight just consistently showing up to class three times a week. Of course that only took them so far, but for the initial weight loss BJJ seemed an efficient way for them.

You want to do BJJ? Earn it.

What's there to earn? Most people can walk in off the street, pay money, and start doing BJJ; it's not an exclusive club. The guy needs to lose some weight, but there's no reason to be so belittling. One would think a 54 year old BB would be a lot more encouraging, especially in an anonymous forum. What's the worse that could happen if you wish the guy luck, that he does indeed quit and nothing else comes of his BJJ journey other than his posts on here? So what, it's not going to cost you anything and I can't imagine it's honestly going to be cause for you losing sleep at night.

The dude is so fat, he can't fit in a GI. Then, he tries to shame Gracie Barra for asking him to get in some sort of reasonable shape to start training. For crying outloud, they did him a favor. They weren't asking him to come back when he has six pack abs. Nope. They set the bar pretty damn low. Fit in the GI.

If you are so fat you can't fit in a GI (or need to sew two GIs together), you don't need BJJ, you need fundamental basic diet and exercise just to get to the starting line. GB doesn't need someone dying of a freaking heart attack on the mat.

His lack of personal responsibility and entitled attitude prevents me from encouraging him. I only encourage sincere people.

BJJ is a self defense art. I said it before. His greatest threat is the character flaw that caused his obesity.

I don't see where he has this entitled attitude. The guy talked about an illness leaving him wheelchair bound while younger and that contributed to a lot of his earlier weight gain. But even if that weren't the case, why not give him the benefit of the doubt? I agree he should lose weight before stepping on the mat, if for no other reason than the safety of training partners, but I think it would be better to encourage him in the endeavor. If it turns out he's insincere, that'll be his problem in the end.

ive lost weight via bjj and seen many others do it, as well.

i know my gym would welcome him. if he has the will to train, there is a way to make it happen. its on him to get the results he desires but i dont think shaming somebody is ever a good approach to change their behavior.

Any of you know some fat BJJ players from your club? I'm talking like Roy Nelson fat or even fatter.

Some fat dudes move gracefully on the mat.

hey, dude, you are not banned anymore, come back and tell us about your weird issues with females

Sup, you rang? There cake in here or something. Fuck you calling this meeting for? Not graceful at all, Im a bull, recently was called a rhino. I dont go apeshit anymore, I go nice and slow, use zero strength when I roll, well close to zero. I have tightened up my defense game since May/Junish quite a bit. Blue belts are having a hard time submitting me now. Just what I wanted. I have caught 3ish subs at this point. I dont go often though this fall season so far. I am getting killed at work and school. Soon as things lighten up, OCT most likely, Ill probably step up.

how do people train and still be fat?
Dude easy, BEER! Thats it, fastest way to lose zero weight, or pack it on, beer. Especially good beer. You can eat all the fucking chicken breast and broccoli all day every day and hit the town for some cheese, wine and beer on a Fri and Sat, you are toast. Fucking empty calories.

Thats impossible, there are GIs made by a company called fat man jiu jitsu or something.
