Let Colby fight a ranked WW. If Leon or the winner of Burns vs Chimaev gets past Usman then Colby will be in a positon to contend again.

Not yet. We need to end the Colby vs ATT saga first. They are a huge distraction so once Colby vs Dustin is done and Colby puts the final nail in their coffin khamzat will be ready to fight the number 1 guy if the hype hasn't been stopped

ATT can't afford to go 0-2 vs Colby, and he already defeated two acclaimed former ATT fighters in Robbie/Tyron so I doubt Dustin will be the man to save the day.

The fact is Dustin will not accept the Colby fight so expect Colby to fight Khamzat/Burns winner and possibly Vicente/Belal winner to face the loser of Usman/Edwards(not if Usman loses to Edwards since a trilogy may occur)

Move to 185. If he keeps all the same attributes he has at WW as a MW, I think he may be able to beat Adesanya. A 15 lb. cut to LW seems like a tough cut, and it's a tougher division. He should stay at WW though, because Usman has just about cleared out the division, and may challenge for MW title soon. He'll be a contender any weight he fights at. Don't like him, but he is good!

Colby would lose to Marvin/Robert forget about him fighting Izzy.

Would be dumb of him to ask for the winner of Burns vs Khamzat. If Khamzat wins and gets a title shot, then wins against Usman, Colby is next for the TS. Bonus points if Khamzat decides to move up and leaves the belt free.

UFC these days, Usman would be closer to rematching Chim for the belt than Colby fighting for it.

I know Khamzats got a bunch of hype and Burns is the biggest win, but Luque or Belal's wins over the same course ending with one another is better. And Burns got finished by Usman not all that long ago. Burns or Khamzat would really stamp their place by fighting Colby after and Colby needs more before attempting his trilogy

This Doostin fight makes sense now, but UFC has taught us they're adamant on booking Colby's hottest fights 1-2 years too late (T-Wood, Oos rematch, Mas fight), so he's not getting Doostin now.

Edwards seems to be UFC's pick for the next title shot with winner of Zat/Burns staying in the wings. If Colby takes out Leon, winner of Burns/Zat won't leap frog him. If he beats winner of Burns/Zat, Leon might still lap frog him.
