Media Fans are not happy with Izzy's behavior

The racism that Africans like Driscus have to endure is nothing new for them which is why Driscus just let Izzy rant away the N word

A racist troll like Izzy is protected by the UFC because he appeals to the racist fans in MMA

The majority of MMA fans are Trump loving far right dudes who have hated and boo'd every black champion in MMA history. I mean they boo'd exciting finisher Anderson and cheered boring lay and pray Chael ffs. It's a given MMA fans are going to hate anything Izzy does as they've been hating on any and every little thing he's done since winning the belt.

So this reaction is no surprise, either way, any press is good press when it comes to creating interest in a fight and selling ppv's.

No stereotypes here. <45>

I hope Izzy faces Bo Nickal one day. The heartbreak and tears when Izzy beats him will make the meltdown over his faceoff with DDP look like nothing lol.

"Did those belts ever go to Africa? As far as I know it came to America and New Zealand. I'm gonna take the belt to Africa. I'm the African fighter in the UFC" -Dricus Du Plessi

He's right, he's the only one raised and still fighting out of Africa. Nothing racial about that

Let’s ignore the rest

“Did those belts go to Africa?”

Very clear implication here. Pretty scummy of him

He will take the belt home (see: Africa) like all champs do.

No one but Izzy has responded this way. The fact that Izzy held a grudge a against a kid for years shows his level of his maturity and uh, chess abilities.

Dricus said nothing but facts. He’s proud of being from Africa. Proud of his country. Proud of wanting to bring the belt back to Africa. Proud of what that would do for MMA in Africa. He showed what kind of man he is by not responding to Adesanya’s racism.

He also said that he's the real African, comparing him to Isreal. He's was obviously conflating nationality with race to bait Izzy, and it worked.

Just like the descendents of slave holding plantation owners in the south, Nigeria has wealthy families that became wealthy selling slaves.

I don't know how anyone can excuse Izzy when he is the person manifesting it all

Like many others have said, are there any champions living in Africa? No. There’s none.

Calling him the n word over and over is funny though. That South African guy who's name I can't remember responded as best as any white man could: "Geeze dude" and walk off. An interaction playing across Middle schools all across America. At least he gets to fight the special ed kid who's yelling at him without getting in trouble.

People aren't happy that Izzy dropped 27 N bombs?

Well I for one, am shocked!

nationality and ethnicity are not the same thing. of course ddp knew this and was tongue in cheek trolling but it gave slot of people an excuse to play victim and you all mother fuckers love that.

my question is, is a white guy born and raised in africa essentially nation less? or must every white in south africa get a dna test to check their ancestry for a nationality

Nigeria and South Africa been having slaves at the same time. Izzys ancestors weren't slaves. Do the math.

Here’s a few responses to Dricus’ remarks.

“The middleweight contender's recent claims that he is a more genuine African than the 'Three Kings' (Francis Ngannou, Israel Adesanya, and Kamaru Usman) seemingly upset Adesanya quite a little. As du Plessis' former training partner, Usman cautioned him to "be a little bit more careful" when speaking about ethnicity.

With all that in mind, Themba Gorimbo offered his take on the matter in a recent interview with MMA Mania, stating:

"What Dricus said was wrong. Firstly, at that point in time when the interview was done, he was not the only African fighter who breaths and smells African air or wake up in African sun with African address. I was in Africa too and we train 30 minutes away from each other."
In addition, Gorimbo argued that Dricus du Plessis is in the wrong for claiming that his remarks were misunderstood, regardless of how others may attempt to interpret them. Adding more context to du Plessis' remarks about Adesanya and Usman, he said:

"Izzy is the guy that any African kid looks up to who does MMA. Most African kids, including me.... I look up to Izzy. [Only] few look up to Dricus, which is great. We can get inspired by him but not a lot of kids look up to him to be honest. Because you know what.... the suffering is different."”

The most hilarious part about this is that :eek::eek::eek::eek: is such an American word. On the streets of Nigeria they aren't running around calling each other :eek::eek::eek::eek:.
