Man he looks tough.

I remember reading about Al Bundy doing BJJ back when he was Al Bundy. That was years before the UFC made BJJ a fad and hip with the celebs.

That's pretty impressive.

Ashton Kutcher is NOT a black belt. Look at how that shit is tied.

Paul Walker is a brown belt under Franjinha.

haha he always pulls guard in his movies :p 2fast2furious being a prime example

Ethan Suplee from "My name is Earl and Remember the Titans" lost a lot of his weight training Muay Thai and BJJ.

Yeah Bundy is legit. 15 years of training before getting his BB. No McDojo shit.

Mila Jovovich has a purple belt in BJJ i think.

Sherdog Logic:

Regular people train martial arts - good for them

Celebrities train martial arts - trendwhores who bought their belts.

So he trains and still wore a blackbelt for a picture shoot? That makes him even more of a douche.

To be fair, in his recent pictures with Mauricio Gomes, a red belt and the father of Roger Gracie, he was already sporting his proper belt rank which is white.

EDIT:

Not exactly BJJ but a lot of famous actors have wrestled back in high school and college.

Bruce Willis
Tom Cruise
Stephen and Daniel Baldwin
Ludacris
Kirk Douglas
John McCain
Jay Leno
Robin Williams
Martin Lawrence

Just some I remember at the moment.

The Gracies are milking Hollywood prissy celebs by handing out blackbelts to them like candy. Same goes for the Beverly Hills crowd. Saw some documentary on it a few years back, some wussy cosmetic surgeon that obviously has a chip on his should was getting his blackbelt in BJJ & self defense, it was LAUGHABLE.

I know Ed O'Neil is serious, he was training before the BJJ McDojo for Celebs campaign, so was Chuck Norris. Undertaker takes it seriously, but his body is too beat up to put serious strain. Kevin James loves this stuff and has for a while. You can tell who is even semi serious and who is doing it like a fad (Cruise, Kusher, Walker, and the rest)

The reality is that even with gi BJJ, you will get minor joint injuries and marks on your face, sometimes serious bruises. So these celebs need special care & treatment when training, like a baby, for obvious professional reasons. Plus, they are spoiled pansies who pay big bucks when their ego is being fed, and it makes great financial sense to cater to their ego needs, without exposing them to reality.

I thought my MCD/Helio comment was a nice touch...Only because this is Sherdog am I not surprised it rustled so many jimmies.
