I play GTA for the Missions. They added Free Roam events but you have to be out of passive mode to do them. Still they did add a bit of variety to the stale Free Roam, if you have no friends online to horse around with.
 
I'm going to wait for some decent mods before I get this game. Hopefully they'll iron out any obvious bugs by then too.
 
So Amazon still hasn't charged me or shipped the Pip-Boy that I per-ordered when this was announce so I'm not going to get this game till next week or so.
 
I remember hearing other people complain about amazon preorders. That's why I don't preorder online. Although with you wanting the pip boy I guess it's not an option.
 
I think the problem is the pip-boys were way over subscribed. GAME just straight up refunded everyone who ordered one through them.

I was getting a little bit of that too and in general it never happens. After work I'm gonna tinker with some settings and see if it helps.

FO4 auto detected ultra but I can tell I'm not getting a smooth 60fps and the field of view seems really narrow.
 
I'm out for the day. It's hard for me to even look at a computer monitor now. I've been looking forward for this game for a VERY long time... this just fucking sucks.

FOV is like 70 and mouse look is several kinds of fucked up.

Great news for me!

Apparently this guy is running everything on Ultra with an i3 and a 7850(the same card I have, Sapphire 2GB). He is shitting on the game in the vid description though, lol. I'm okay with just 30 FPS as well.

Yeah, the textures are pretty low res, can't see it using a lot of vram.
 
Also, why is there mouse lag? When you move the mouse, it takes a fraction of a second for the mouse to actually start moving.

ok, I get it now. Change fallout4prefs.in from iPresentInterval=1 to 0

The controls and UI had me all fucked up. I'll probably start over. I dumped points into SPECIAL attributes by mistake after leveling a bit.
 
i don't use my couse and keyboard, i use my xbox one controller, god its so much easier to play games
