Interesting discussion but you could not have picked a worse example if you tried. The fact that he is, in fact, a migrant completely dismantles you're entire argument.

Where did he migrate from?

And when did he migrate?

The media has been pulling peoples strings for a long time. CNN was really the genesis of truly movie production fake stories. Now we have foreign entities controlling election with social media. The funny thing is we all get caught up in taking sides and pointing fingers like the puppets we were meant to be. Instead, we should be pulling the curtain and exposing the scumbags behind the division that they profit from.
New Social Media has Trump calling Puerto Rico a garbage island. Has Kamala in a 3-some with Montel Williams.

Except that he didn't migrate from Africa.

His parents did, nobody cares about this detail you're trying to point out and every native person still considers somebody like him a second generation migrant.

No they don't, you do, but only when it suits your nonsense.

Is Trump a MIGRANT too?

Your erroneous and fake definition makes over 10 percent of all Americans also MIGRANTS to go on top of the 14 percent that actually are.

So one in four American, right?

No. Nobody uses that definition, ever.

I'd rather what we have now instead of the curated and gatekept propaganda cosplaying as mainstream news we had in the past.

The entire media gaslit the entire country into believing Iraq had WMD's so they could justify a war.

It's a lot harder to do that now in the age of social media.

Jeffrey Epstein would have probably gotten away with his crimes if he didn't live in the age of social media.
The media was relaying what was shared with them by the government, and while I've heard this griped about many times in the past few decades, perhaps the most ironic truth lost to history is that if you review all the internal government docs, intelligence reports, and memos at the time, we genuinely believed Saddam did have WMDs. We weren't certain, but it was our operating assumption.

Journalists who disagreed got shut down and censored. And sometimes retribution happened.

CIA agent Valerie Plame's journalist husband did an Op-ed doubting false stories of Saddam Hussein was seeking large quantities of uranium.

A week afterward, Valerie Plame's identity was outed.

And no I do not believe everyone in the government genuinely believed he had WMD's. Not only that, they kept falsely equating the 9/11 attacks to Hussein to garner public support. That's a straight up lie.

Unfortunately, people often believe less reputable sources and then spout it as fact. Look at the female boxer that won gold at the Olympics. Someone started saying she was transgendered and it stuck and everyone ran with it adding their two cents.

Oh dear.

This thread didn’t age well, did it?

This thread didn’t age well, did it?

You're shitting up 5 different threads with the same story, kid. And you're still wrong.

All the lies in the OP are still lies, ya moron.

I suppose you could read the OP as fake news and then take the thread from there.

I shouldn't bother with you really.

Anyone who cannot understand that a guy lying about his kids being attacked is wrong is a guy who needs a live in carer.

It doesn't stop there with you, though. You're fully bought in to swallowing salty drops of misinformation and get upset that people look down on you for it.

Dear me.

I bet you tried to find the Welshman’s angelic Christian choir symphonies online.

This is a great point, and ought to have a thread dedicated to it. There's a very good reason why one of the first things Trump did during his political career was to denigrate and erode faith in the news media. Once you've convinced half the country that all the news is fake and just out to get you, then whenever the news reports on something negative you did or said...that half of the country will instinctively dismiss it. At that point facts and truth are no longer of any relevance.

Then you need to do the same thing with the Judiciary. Convince the people that the Department of Justice is corrupt and just out to get you. Then when they come down on you for crimes you've committed, your cult instinctively dismisses it as fake. Then once you gain control of the Supreme Court there's only one institution left to hold you accountable.

So then it's time to denigrate and erode faith in the election system. How do you make it so that you can remain in power and not have to be held accountable? Convince people that whenever you lose an election, it's because the other side cheated and rigged it.

These attacks on our institutions are not novel; it's straight out of the Fascism playbook. It's just pathetic that tens of millions of people are too clueless to see it.
Yes, but none of this would be very effective if journalists were not full of s*** and if politicians weren't full of s***.

There could be no Trump if everybody around him weren't also liars just of a lesser degree.

The thing is man, while I agree with you completely, it seems really clear that independent Media has been far far worse. A lot of people thought that Independent Media through YouTube and other mediums would be a panacea and a solution to the corporate corrupt mainstream media, but it turns out they're doing better reporting and getting things more correct than independent Media is for the most part.

There are good actors but they're surrounded by a sea of liars and con men and women and it's misleading the country worse than when we just trusted mainstream media.

There's a lot more lies as well as a lot more truth. People have to wade through it all.
