Yup. Been saying this for years. Gsp doesnt just beat people, he breaks them, destroys their self confidence. Fighters get beat and learn from their mistakes. Gsp sucks peoples drive to succeed. They just trained their entire life for that title shot and came away getting beat in every aspect of their game.
 
More like he fought guys who were already past their prime or simply weren’t that good to begin with

Most of those guys gsp wasn’t able to finish weren’t that hard to finish.
 
Maybe they just weren't that good to begin with, and didn't really deserve the title shots they were given in a relatively middle heavy division. Hardy, Alves, Matt Hughes 2x, Matt Serra 2x, Bisping, LW Penn. That's 8 fights where he's fighting people who did not really deserve a WW title shot / The MW title at all.

That’s the thing about the ww division at the time. Ppl claim it was deep, but in really ufc just had a lot of average fighters at ww. Hughes was old generation n was really a wrestler with submissions. Serra was a lw n the only reason he’s in conversation is cause gsp choked in his 1st title d. Rest of them guys were one dimensional n their records after gsp proves it
 
part of it might be being beaten by a guy that looks and talks like him. he's not exactly a man's man...you get your ass beat by say, prime Don Frye It's a bit different to accept mentally I imagine.

They all had amazing runs before n after facing them.

I agree to everything you wrote except i believe Hendricks beat Georges everywhere. I know you're a quebecer, but so am i colisse, no shame in admitting Hendricks beat the aliens out of GSP. You could see flying sauciers leaving his ears during the post fight interview

Damn man, GSP is a career killer. Nice post, I never looked into the before/after stats.

Fitch confirmed for being a tough ass motherfucker .... as if that wasn't obvious... but Dana hatin' and his clinically effective wrestlehumping took down his stock...
