Now that I think about it, if these gamers really wanted historical accuracy and an ethnically Japanese male samurai main character you'd probably have some gay romances there too. Japanese warrior culture got as gay as Greek warrior culture if you dig into it.

It did not. Don't be silly.

The Greeks wrote philosophical treatises exclaiming the spiritual superiority of male-on-boy sexual relationships over heterosexual relationships. Nobody will ever be as gay as the ancient Greeks.
