Even if it were true about that specific thing, and I’m not saying that it is true, this was a called “go woke go broke” disaster about a year before then. Which my post mentioned.

The pre-production hubbub about the dwarfs in particular. You can’t deny that. Disney put out a statement groveling to Dinklage on that. The statement said they wouldn’t use dwarves which a year later made the “magical diversity people” leak extremely easy to believe..

and then, of course, the race swapping choice for a titular character specifically defined by her features.

You can’t deny Rachel Zegler from day 1 marred the film specifically because of her persistent wokeness and the fact she was clearly miscast.

And I think most would be right to assume this movie would’ve probably been a hit or atleast not a money sink if not for all these woke strikes against it.

It would’ve done well if they just stuck to the story instead of merely using the brand to tell a different one.

The point is, this was long forecasted as the woke disaster it was and for the exact reasons it turned out to be a disaster.

Somebody had suggested that it wasn’t. That nobody was calling a “go woke go broke” until this weekend. When it’s been years starting when they first telegraphed that this movie would be done with wokeness in mind

Around 15 hours in and Shadows isn't even woke. I don't really get all the fuss about this.

As of now, five days after launch, it hasn't broken even yet.

How many of the sales are just the base game?
How many of the sales are the premium versions?
How many season passes will it sell?
How many micro-transactions?

I'm not a politician, or a shit-tier politician, or an employee within Ubisoft that has access to their internal sales records.
All we know, so far, is their claim to have 2 million players across consoles and PC, which includes their Ubisoft subscription service.

Sometimes these games have legs and with the price decreases the game's sales shoot up higher than expected.
