It's also Marvel fatigue. They ain't what they used to be. Best to just throw money at Reynolds and Jackman and ride that bitch until the wheels fall off. I think the rest of the franchises need a loooong break. Like 10 years at least. It's too much and they're getting as narratively confusing as the comics themselves.

oh, absolutely it is fatigue. i’m fatigued by them (ie, can’t be fucked to go see them in theaters) & didn’t even really hate any of the movies current phase minus that abysmal Thor. i think they have the right idea w/ the Fantastic 4 movie though, because it at least appears to have an aesthetic that is entirely unique from the rest of the MCU offerings. that could pay off big for them & hopefully usher in an era of MCU movies that don’t look & feel so homogeneous
