a massive kick in the dick for that movie, which is a little surprising since the more people see the more you hear that it is “pretty good” or “better than expected.” it looks like people in general just didn’t bother going to the theaters last weekend. 53% dip in overall box office![]()

It's also Marvel fatigue. They ain't what they used to be. Best to just throw money at Reynolds and Jackman and ride that bitch until the wheels fall off. I think the rest of the franchises need a loooong break. Like 10 years at least. It's too much and they're getting as narratively confusing as the comics themselves.a massive kick in the dick for that movie, which is a little surprising since the more people see the more you hear that it is “pretty good” or “better than expected.” it looks like people in general just didn’t bother going to the theaters last weekend. 53% dip in overall box office
oh, absolutely it is fatigue. i’m fatigued by them (ie, can’t be fucked to go see them in theaters) & didn’t even really hate any of the movies current phase minus that abysmal Thor. i think they have the right idea w/ the Fantastic 4 movie though, because it at least appears to have an aesthetic that is entirely unique from the rest of the MCU offerings. that could pay off big for them & hopefully usher in an era of MCU movies that don’t look & feel so homogeneousIt's also Marvel fatigue. Kathleen Kennedy going at last?
imagine being such a colossal failure, such a negative influence on something and being bomb proof job wise
But at last seems like she is going
They literally broke the most popular, money printing IP with their woke bs.Kathleen Kennedy leaving might be too little too late for Star Wars. People have lost interest in the series and it's going to be difficult to win them back.
Disney is seeing declines in park attendance lose of subscribers for Disney plus and many of their movies have bombed in the theaters. They need a completely new strategy to win audiences over.
